@redhead65, thanks for these specific instructions. I always felt my shaving technique was off. I am going to try it your way and hope the outcome is better.
Shaving is so much easier than other things I've tried.

You might want to try this product (get mine at drugstore.com). Works great once you get the hang of it and leaves your face silky and exfoliated (a bonus!)

I's63 {YIKES!! How did that happen} and have recently began the facial hair battle. My hair is fine. I wash with Isomers Foaming Facial, lather it up and shave in downward motion with my regular Mach 3 Turbo I use on my legs. Rinse with cool-ish water and IMMEDIATELY apply a layer of Isomers COPPER-P. I keep it in the fridge and it feels so cool going on. I've never exerienced growing in stubble or coareness.

I use an epilator on my face, under arms and legs once in a blue moon now, I think an epilator is the way to go. I wouldn't use a prescription steroid cream for a rash on my face, you can get cortisone cream OTC.

NEVER, NEVER be embarrassed to tell your dr. anything, Go to Panasonic website. I have a battery operated tool that I use to remove facial hair and my skin is sensitive. Is it possible you are using the newer razor with softening medicine in it? You are probably allergic to that. Take care.

I use the emjoi erase for everything. Love that thing. I rarely have to use it now on legs or chin and upper lip. It stings the 1st few times butnow it doesn't bother me at all. My mom is 80 and she uses it on her chin and upper lip too....and she is a big baby about pain....she loves it
I tried that eyebrow face razor thing on HSN on my peach fuzz on cheeks and I got welts! But it has great reviews.

Thank you ! Yes, there are other ways to remove hair from the face but they are either more expensive, painful, or take up more time. As long as you don't rush and are gentle, this is the cheapest, quickest, and safwetest method I know. It works beautifully ever time and always exfoliates your face well. I don't have to spend money on exfoliator products. This does a beautiful job.
I've been doing this once a week for almost 50 years and my skin is fair, very soft and flawless even at my age now. (Good Scottish genes help!)
Hope you get into the habit. You learn to do it faster and faster yet safely.
Good luck !

I know its expensive and I don't own one but I have heard that the NO NO is for any hair removal including the face and does a great job. You could always check Ebay they have new items for sale at a more reasonable price.

I use a mens Norelco electric razor. Shave every few days. No stubble and no razor burn.Just run it over my entire face before I wash it - when it is still very dry. Then wash and moisturize as usual.Makeup goes on so much easier and prettier.

My goodness how much hair are we talking about here?? I would NEVER resort to shaving my face! Huh?? Why would any woman want to even start this practice? I always figured I was just a normal woman with the normal amount of facial hair. I have found a great cream depilatory the past few years that works fabulous on my unwanted hairs. What do your husbands say when they touch your face and you have stubble? We women have enough issues to live with without stacking beard subble on top it all. Wow.
