Please help. I am 50 and realize that I could use botox, filler, etc. I am trying, however, to cover undereye circles with a bluish tint to them and can't find anything I like. Perhaps it is the way I am concealing. I don't want to do too many layers because then they settle in my creases but realize that maybe a concealer is not enough. Any advice would be so appreciated.
I understand your concern...I'm noticing a sunken look too. I thought allergies played a part, but I think it's the wonders of aging, UUGGHHH!! Anyway, I hate concealers! I always found them un-natural looking, and settling in lines.
I have sampled IT eye concealer, and found it to be very thick, and heavy. Probably good coverage, but I would never use something like that texture under my eyes. I read the reviews on the other popular one on HSN (can't think of her name). She does the triangle of light, and it' $38. Many said it's sooo drying, and made the skin worse. So I get afraid. That being said, until I find something I love...what I do is apply a good layer of my eye cream, and then carefully pat a teeny, tiny bit of my foundation a little way up onto this sunken area. Not too high near the eye, and just a really light touch. Keeps it hydrated, and doesn't cake up. I also got a sample of PUFF OFF from Benefit. I don't have bags, or puffiness, but sometimes I'll use a pin head size of this, because it has a very slight pink tone, and it's luminous, but goes on more clear. Again, I use an eye cream first. I put a little blush higher on the cheeks, hoping to bring that area out.
Hope we find something...I feel like it makes me look older
