I know a lot of times the YouTuber will say they have already applied sunscreen and skin care. I can't imagine trying to apply foundation over nekkid skin.
Sitting in the ER with my mom and dad. Dad fell but he's okay because
"I've been in the Army" 😊

Oh gee, @monicakm .  I'm so sorry!  My FIL was a Marine, so I understand.  When my dad fell on a stone patio he didn't break a thing. But Mom broke several ribs when she fell on their tile floor. Sending you patience and wishes for a good diagnosis for dad.

I heard you should never say "was a Marine." It's always 'you ARE a marine'-always

@Judaline

He "was" a Marine because he passed away 3 years ago (6 weeks short of his 98th birthday!). Past tense for people who have departed.

Awww, so sorry. That was very insensitve of me. I just didn't think.

@monicakm @Oh my, when it rains it pours. Sometimes it's a cascading series of issues and it sounds like that's where you are right now. I wish I could help. Guess all I can say is that you're so in my thoughts even though we've never met and I hope things calm down for you and your family. Take the best care you can of yourself! Love, thoughts and prayers. Xo

@Thats Me

Thank you.  You're very kind.  I know it's something most of us go thru if our parents live long enough.  Mine are 88 and 83.  I'm just glad I was able to finally convince them to go to an assisted living (I'd be very comfy at this place and my daughter decorated it with as much of their home decor items as she could fit in there AND got them adjoining suites for the price of one room).  The laundry lady walked in yesterday with all their clean and folded laundry.  That's all it took to convince me (as my unfolded laundry lays on the dining room table) Smiley Surprised  They also have their dog, who has won the hearts of all the workers there.  His name is on their nameplate by the doors.

Re: FOUNDATION WITHOUT SPF?

[ Edited ]

@monicakm @Yes, I know something of what you're going through. My parents were 90 and 94. They had health problems of course, not dementia though. I was a caregiver for each of them and knew it was a privilege to be able to do it, but it took a toll. Still I'd do it all over again in a heartbeat to have them back as long as they didn't suffer, and that wouldn't have been possible. So I take comfort from knowing they're back together and in a better place. I miss them every day.

Sounds like your parents are in a wonderful place. It's great that your daughter was able to help so much!

@Thats Me

My parents have 95% of what they have in their new home thanks to their granddaughter.  With a broken knee and one that wasn't ready to carry the burden of the non-operated knee, there wasn't a lot I could do other than be there for moral support.  Losing my brother and having to move out of their home all within a few weeks of each other was a lot to process/handle.  He was their baby and caregiver.

@monicakm @Yes that was a lot for you to process and handle. It would be a lot for anyone. I guess it's never easy but still. Some times are especially hard.

Be good to yourself and take the best care that you can!

Trying not to sound rude, but how did my thread about foundation go so off track?

You are not the one who should be sorry. Best wishes to you and your family..
