Trying not to sound rude, but how did my thread about foundation go so off track?

Surely @Shanus  it is not difficult to understand when "one of us" (participants on the Beauty forum) are having a major life event that we have empathy for that person. Your "foundation" thread is one of many so I highly doubt anyone but you was offended by becoming off topic.

Prayers and best wishes @monicakm for your entire family during this most difficult time. You have been through so much as of late and my heart goes out to you.💕

Oh my gosh!  I'm just now reading this thread.  I am so sorry to hear about your mama & daddy!

I'm seeing most YTbers applying foundation w/o skincare or SPF. This definitely makes a difference in the appearance and longevity of foundations.

Have you been noticing this as well?

Are they actually stating that they don't already have some on?  Many may have some on already and prefer to begin their look having already done their prep.  I watch a couple of gals that do this and the leave the name and link of the products within the video description @Shanus

I know a lot of times the YouTuber will say they have already applied sunscreen and skin care. I can't imagine trying to apply foundation over nekkid skin.
Sitting in the ER with my mom and dad. Dad fell but he's okay because
"I've been in the Army" 😊

Oh gee, @monicakm .  I'm so sorry!  My FIL was a Marine, so I understand.  When my dad fell on a stone patio he didn't break a thing. But Mom broke several ribs when she fell on their tile floor. Sending you patience and wishes for a good diagnosis for dad.

I heard you should never say "was a Marine." It's always 'you ARE a marine'-always

@Judaline

He "was" a Marine because he passed away 3 years ago (6 weeks short of his 98th birthday!). Past tense for people who have departed.

@gertrudecloset   Yes, if some are doing several looks, not going out and just making videos, they don't prep the skin thoroughly, IMO. Some even show the skincare while doing it and spf is not done. I'm not faulting them if just sitting in front of the camera, but it does influence the outcome of the makeup.

I never wear sunscreen. Way too many chemicals. Just read the ingredients!
