Re: FAS vs. WVM Performance?

I can't speak to the performance of WVM, because I haven't tried it. I couldn't get past the smell. It's not unpleasant, but I have no desire to smell like a chocolate mint patty. To me, there's very little vanilla, it's all chocolate and mint. I have one 16 oz bottle of WVM (I sold the rest), I might have to finally try it this year.

I have tried all of the other seasonals, and FAS is the best performing for my hair. It gives me great moisture and more shine than any other formula. I ordered one 32 oz. on AD this year and will have to figure out how many to order for the second shipment. It really is a great formula!

Since I didn't order any RTM or oil to go with it, I can tell you that using SAM with it, if I cleanse at night, by the second time I wake up with it, I can almost not smell it. I only cleanse every four days. I'm sure you do more often, so you will be stuck as a chocomint patty. If I were you, I'd stick with the FAS.

Re: FAS vs. WVM Performance?

I have never tried the WVM since I hadn't been using Wen when this was offered. I will try it since I plan on buying the December tsv, (seasonals). Actually, I will probably buy both of the December tsv choices if I decide to use some of them as gifts. I loved all of the other seasonals but couldn't use FAS. I started using Wen when SMC was offered and liked this very much, in addition to SAM and Pom that were my first purchases.

Re: FAS vs. WVM Performance?

You all have talked me in to stockpiling FAS. I also thought it might be more moisturizing than FiG, but FAS leaves my hair lighter. Based on these reviews, I think I will skip the WVM Smiley Happy

Re: FAS vs. WVM Performance?

I love WVM, for moisture it has been my favorite and was my top pick for a moisture seasonal until the SHP came along. I do love FAS and FGP to, but they do not give as much moisture as the WVM or SHP, they are however second in the running. All the other seasonals seem to dry my hair out. And as for scent, I love both the FAS and WVM. In winter love the chocolate minty goodness of the WVM! However, not so much a fan of the mist in that scent, the CC is best, the RTM and oil smell different to me and not as yummy.

Thanks for your review of WVM. I plan on ordering this and have never tried it. Thanks for your comments about the RTM and oil. I probably wouldn't be ordering these items anyway but do plan on buying more of the WCM RTM and oil from the Chaz Dean site when these are available.

When the WVM first came out I was not sure I would like it, I am typically not a fan of any mint scent, I do not like mint anything! But I LOVE the WVM CC, I still have some stashed away, there was no way I was going to not have some of the WVM for winter! Smiley Happy and normally I love the RTM and oils if I love the scent of a CC but the WVM was different, and I ended up giving my oil and mist away. I hope when you order and get the WVM this winter you love it as much as I do, I will be stocking up again!

I like all of the Wen mint formulas so I would imagine that I will also like the WVM.

Hmm, thanks for your review! Interesting that WVM gives you more moisture than FAS. I may have to try it after all.
