Do you match your eyeshadow to what you are wearing?  I am going to a party on Sat. and I am going to be wearing a gold and orange top. What color do you think I should wear? Thanks.

I would do a smoky bronze eye with a touch of green on the outer corner, dark brown liner, bronzey/nude blush & peach lips.

I mean a dark, dark almost black green. For a bit of depth.I don't know why. LOL It just feels right!

I generally do not and usually go with neutrals. Orange, coral, and peachy shades are very popular right now, so you could go with that. I do work corals and peaches into my eye looks more often than other colors. You could also go with gold, rose gold, or champagne in the center of the lid.

Bronze, as @Dusty1 mentioned, is also a great choice and flatters most eye colors.

No but I mostly wear neutrals.  If you want something different, I would go with eggplant/plums.

Matte eye shadow could be a good choice if the gold color clothing you will be wearing is metallic. Good suggestions already stated here, may I add a matte taupe.

I haven't matched eye shadow to clothes since the 80s. I wear only neutrals now that enhance my natural eye color. At my age I would feel very self-conscious if I wore really bright or bold eye colors. Color is definitely trending in eye products so if you want to experiment go for it.

Sometimes I do, but I may use color (purples, blues, greens) as an eye liner with a nude eyeshadow.
