Eye Treatment Recommendations

Ok ladies, I need some recommendations for a new eye treatment.

I am in my early 30’s, I just have slight under eye wrinkles, no crows feet, and have 11’s in between my brows. I don’t have dark circles, but you can sort of see the veins in my eyelids.

I have tried the below products with explanations of why I’m still on the hunt:

Josie Maran Milk Devotion Eye Serum - I LOVED the texture, just felt it did absolutely nothing for me.

Bare Minerals Brilliant Future Eye Cream - Texture was ok, once again, do not feel like it did anything for me at all.

Currently using Tatcha Revitalizing Eye Cream - This is my absolute least favorite, wish I would have kept the packaging to return it. I am making myself finish it up due to the cost and I hate to waste. This is WAY too thick, and it almost gives the skin on my eyes a grey tint, absolutely bizarre. Very hard to get it to rub in which I think is not great because I have always heard to barely pat in eye products because the skin is thinner around the eyes, not an option with this one.

Thanks in advance for any advice and recommendations!!

The reviews on Amazon for that Plexaderm product are not very good and it's expensive, like $66 for 0.17 oz. Woman Indifferent

Re: Eye Treatment Recommendations

I really like and recommend Isomers' Mezmereyez All in One eye serum. It has all the really effective ingredients to use around the eye area. There's a sale on it on the 26th on Evine.  I've almost run out and it will be a definite repurchase for me. I just use a little bit of my main face moisturizer over it as my eye cream.

@Smc09   I am twice your age and I use Marula oil at bedtime.  I have not had any addtional wrinkles.  In fact, I only have the smile wrinkles but my facial skin is smooth.  I do not have the large horizontal wrinkles on my forehead.  I contribute it to good genes and Marula oil.  I use Acure Organics Marula oil which is sold at Target now.  Also at their website and other beauty websites.  Cat Happy

someone I know used it an it left a white residue on her face.  She did pay quite a bit for it also.  I have not tried it.

I would start using a retinol product if you haven't already. If you'd rather go the Rx route then I would suggest Retin-a. The use of retinoids will slow down the aging process and your skin will stay looking younger over the years.

The skin around the eyes is thin and that's why some people have visible veins on their lids and sometimes under eye.  By using a retinoid eye cream, it will help thicken the skin which, in time, may help make those veins less noticeable.

Re: Eye Treatment Recommendations

@Smc09 I'm in my 60's and I've been using Neutrogena Rapid Wrinkle Repair Eye Cream (accelerated retinol SA) for about 10 years, I think. I then put Tarte Maracuja C Brighter Eye Treatment over it. I have done this every night. I must say, I have been using eye cream for at least 25 years or more. I don't have any wrinkles or dryness whatsoever around any part of my eyes. No crows feet either. This is what has worked for me.

I have found that Dr. Denese's Hydrosheild Eye Emulsion is great also. I wait until these products are on sale on their websites and then I stock up!

Re: Eye Treatment Recommendations

Thank you all for the recommendations! I have written down all of the information and will be doing some research, I still have a few weeks left of my Tatcha eye cream so that gives me time to make my decision. @Katcat1 @Porcelain @Mz iMac

I do have a question about retinol, I have never used anything to my knowledge with retinol in it.

I have very sensitive, very dry skin. Is retinol a product I should be afraid of? I have heard great things about it and a close friend of mine swears by it, but I have never been brave enough to try it...  @SilleeMee @Shanus

@Coquille I did go ahead and look up the Dr. Denise Hydroshield Eye Emulsion and my gosh at the raving reviews!! That is definitely a good sign in my opinion, because we ladies (and some men) have high expectations for our skin care, so when I see that many great reviews it speaks volumes I believe.
