Re: Expensive High End Foundations - Are they really worth it for those that own them?

I think high end and uber expensive cosmetics are worth it to the women who equate price with quality. I'm not one of those women. I buy mid priced products from well known companies Avon and Revlon mostly. I use DOVE products on my face because a dermatologist recommended Dove when I had some skin problems.

Tried so many at different price points and found Chanel works great. Yes, it is more $ but it feels great, looks great and lasts along time. I'm done looking.

I use Estee Lauder Double Wear and is about $40 and lasts months. You only need a litle and it lasts all day. It is SO worth it.

I have been using Shisiedo stick foundation for 15 years and wouldn't think of changing unless the company discontinued the line. For some reason, I think the higher brand use less filler ingredients and more skin loving components. I'm at an age where I need my makeup to act like additional skincare. When I was a young young women, Max Factor was my go to brand for everything!

I have sooo many foundations, have bought most of the high end ones in search of my HG. I do like a lot of them mainly because I feel my comfortable with the ingredients. Well, in the last two months I started wearing Covergirls CG Smoother and Ready, Set, Gorgeous and I am very pleased with the results. I still love my higher end ones but I think price should not matter, everyone will end up with what works for them.

I have always used expensive foundation and find it to be much better than drugstore brands. The key is to find what works best and looks best on you and it very well may be a drug store brand. Everyone is different. I love Chanel's foundations but that doesn't mean its right for you.

Chanel foundation is the absolute best and worth every penny. I love the Aqua velvet ( black bottle). It looks just as good at the end of the day as when I put it on. Chanel's primer is amazing too. I get continuous compliments on how amazing my skin looks.

Only the person who own's them can decide. I would guess they think it's worth it or they wouldn't use it.

Some people have skin problems and need to buy more expensive products. I know expensive doesn't necessarily mean better, but sometimes it does.

I like to use IT, Laura Geller, QVC makeup products.
