I won't go any lower than a feedback of 98%. I suggest you don't bid till you get the idea of how things work first. I started out with Buy Now and I clicked Free Shipping because once or twice I paid for shipping but I didn't want to. I buy a lot from overseas and I have only had 2 problems and the seller made good right away. One even sent my package by air. They do not like getting a bad feedback. Ebay does have a money back guarantee. I have had no problems with Pay Pal and I actually find myself using it on other sites as well instead of listing my credit card information. I wish QVC used it since I've been hacked twice from this site. When you buy on Buy Now I always put price + shipping lowest (on the left side of the screen you can click on free shipping) for how I view the items. When bidding you want to put time ending soonest.

My first experience buying from ebay I paid for a product and I never received it from the seller. {#emotions_dlg.thumbdown} They didn't even try to pretend there was a tracking number just took my money and then got amnesia about it.

I am glad to see it doesn't happen often.

If this happens to a buyer.............either not receiving your item or receiving it in "significantly not as described" (SNAD) condition............you will be made whole. Ebay has a Money-Back Guarantee Policy.

At the end of the day though I didn't get the item I had wanted to buy. At the time and this was at least 8 years ago - my kids were younger and I was really busy. It was only $10 and I just let it go rather than file statements etc. It was a significant hassle to try to get your money back (or at least that's what I remember).

I just walked away disappointed.

I'm sorry that happened to you, sun8shine! Now, the process is much easier to file a claim. Ebay bends over backwards to help buyers, sometimes to the detriment of honest sellers, i.e. scam artists LOOOOVE ebay!

As someone new to ebay, OP, I stand by my recommendation of looking for 100% feedback and good stars. Yes, a good seller may get hit unfairly with a neg here or there.

I answered questions on the ebay Feedback Forum for 7 years. Similar to here, people came with questions and problems and we, as volunteers, asked those questions.

What you need to watch for are MEGA sellers who sell thousands of items a month. Their FB might look high - 96.3 or even 98.2% - but then you look at the FB page and they actually have A LOT of negatives and neutrals. Because they sell in such high quantity, they can "bury" the not-so-steller sales.

Until you become more savvy, I'd also recommend avoiding international purchases. In certain categories you will find many sellers from SE Asia. That's a known trouble area to buy from unless you know how to find small-time reliable and reputable sellers.

PayPal: If you link a credit card to your PP account, and you have a problem with the sale, you can contact the cc to withhold payment. It's a great back-up for the buyer.

Another thought...............you said you are looking for 4 products.

If you want to buy more than 1 product from the same seller, ask him or her if they will give you a discount on shipping. Even if they are listed as Free S/h, they bundle the charges in their cost, so it's still good to ask.

This is standard practice. A good seller will combine your products in one box and give you back the money saved. But you have to ask before the auction ends or you BIN. If the seller agrees, don't pay the amount that ebay sends to you. Wait for an adjusted invoice from your seller.

Hi Tinkrbl44!, DDF is a skincare line created by Dr.Howard Sobel and his sister. Elaine Linker in 1991.The initials stand for DoctorsDermatologicalFormula and was initially created for his patients in NY,so that they could continue with the same beauty protocol and regimen in the privacy of ones home. The line was formulated ( and still.is for the most part) with "over the counter" but pharmaceutical.grade ingredients, and if you read the ingredients;the primary ingredient or catalyst is ALWAYS the second or third ingredient. It has done absolute Mira led for my hormone driven adult breakouts and leaves my skin with a silky smooth and even skin tone( I also suffer from old adult acne scars and hyperpigmentation ). The company was sold to P and G a couple of years ago,and unfortunately a couple of items that I use are no longer made OR/AND there is less product with ka-ching$$$$ prices ( seems to be a raison d' etre business standard these days, lol).Nevertheless, I still am a loyal user of their products because they work and are ubër effective.

@Irishrose136,@croemer,@Katluvr58,@jewelsluvsbeauty,@Sunshine: MilleGrazie,MuchoGracias,MerciBeaucoup, and Mahalo nui loa; off the top of my head, those are some of nicest ways to say thank you other than English.I have bookmarked all of the suggestions, advice, tips, thoughts, warnings, and points to ponder and will go through them at my leisure before I get into the bidding process since I am a novice.eBay has a lot of policies and agreements that I want to learn as well.Hopefully,as I begin to familiarize myself with all the nuances and intricacies of this company,I will be able to post a bid with confidence and ease. But,I have to be a quick study and learn fast: I see they have some Louis V's on sale !!!!!!!!

I just wanted to warn you. Designer brands like this are usually/often counterfeit. You have to be really careful. If the seller has lots of designer items on sale they usually are not real. To buy something like Louis Vuitton you have to find someone who only has one bag.

@ NickNack, Hello and thank you for the warning.I really should have known better because I used to have a hobo LV and know there ARE unscrupulous sellers out there to make a fast buck regardless of the authenticity.or quality of the product.I did see a few that"looked" authentic, but it IS a photo which makes it a little to judge...no let me correct that. There was a lovely pouchette I was considering and a domed tote that piqued my interest, but upon closer inspection, the initials that were on the bottom of the pouchette were severed by 1/3 and I wasn't able to discern his initials on the domed tote.Oh well, maybe I will go to the consignment stores here in the city and check out their merchandise. These places do have some fine luxury bags in their inventory and can spot a faux bag in a second! Thanks for the guidance and the support,I do appreciate it.

You're welcome. Consignment stores are definitely your best bet for designer bags. The fakes can look very authentic unless you know exactly what to look for, such as the stitching quality, etc.
