Re: EVERY DAY MAKEUP LOOK/PRODUCTS?

[ Edited ]

@marmarbrooklyn  I was wondering if it emphasizes lines in the face? (if you have any!!) I'm speaking of the Merit foundation stick. Thnx

Hi I have fine lines under my eyes and the Merit works well . I don’t have lines but very large pores and texture and Merit does not emphasize it .

One more question: would you say the color was lighter or darker than you thought it would be? Thnx

Re: EVERY DAY MAKEUP LOOK/PRODUCTS?

I wash at night with Purity, or Tatcha Rice powder.

Rinse face thoroughly in the morning and apply Josie Maran face milk.

I apply Dr Denese  tinted moisturizer or No makeup

compact Makeup.

RMS cream blush Glass slipper is my new go to color, Spell or Illusive.

Eyeshadow is Urban Decay or a Sephora eyeshadow compact of neutrals.

RMS eyebrow powder in Medium

Lipstick is either Givenchy the black magic one or Clinique and Black honey.

I also use Tarte lip colors. I just added the thicker ones to my collection which cover in 1 quick swipe.

I also just received RMS crystal slipper lip oil and I like it. it is a set offered here on Q. 3 items.

The crystal slipper eyelights made my eyelids burn and irritated them.

Has this product irritated anyone else here?

@Shanus  Funny thing after you told me about Merit a few days ago, I received a pamphlet today by mail advertising the brand. 😊

Thank you.  I appreciate your reply!  I just don't like foundations that give a shiny look.  But - matte foundations are generally speaking too dry looking.

I have a hard time choosing so I actually sent them my photo for a match . They put me in bone which I thought was light but actually worked great . I am neutral but some shades really go yellow on me . The customer service is helpful I think you will like Merit 😊

Re: EVERY DAY MAKEUP LOOK/PRODUCTS?

Sephora has Merit! I went to check and Zowie! They have all the shades of the Minimalist Stick Foundation. But double that! More shades than they show on their site. At least on my computer I didn't see all of the ones I saw at Sephora. And you can try on the shades!!!! And you can exchange it if you don't like the one you bought!!! I had the best time. I just wanted one without any yellow in it. I tried several but since I put so many on I couldn't remember what shade they were. It sure was fun trying. Me thinks the word isn't out yet that Sephora has this. I see it on every beauty site and on tv commercials and now Sephora. I was afraid it would be mobbed but it was just me! What fun.

Re: EVERY DAY MAKEUP LOOK/PRODUCTS?

I have bought a few Merit products at my Sephora, @Judaline.

I am usually able to find a code if I buy on the Merit site though.

Sephora has had Merit for quite a while.  Close to a year ago I bought a stick highlighter from Sephora, online, and it was rancid Smiley Sad  Unfortunately, that experience is keeping me from being interested in trying more from the line.  There were several products back then.  The only thing I see that I think is new is the Merit fragrances.  Website has 30 shades of the stick foundation.  Which color are you/will you buy?

Re: EVERY DAY MAKEUP LOOK/PRODUCTS?

@monicakm  I bought Dune. I wanted something with a pink cast while most of them have yellow. I had never heard of this brand but all of a sudden I see it advertisd on tv, all over the internet and best of all I saw it here! These people tell ya the truth. They have no reason to lie! Sephora had it so I got to look it over. I love the convenience of a stick and it sounds like it's clean. I'll let y'all know what I think and then you'll have one more honest review!
