Drugstore Mascara Rave - Maybeline Mega Plush

I ususally like Malley (white tube, pink print), but on impulse, bought The Mega Plush Volume Express Mascara. It comes in a sea-glass green tube with purple-pink print. It is described as a gel mousse mascara, and I got it on sale for about $7.

I have decent lashes that have a natural curl to them, but they are fine. I prefer mascaras that keep my lashes separated, and not stuck together.

This mascara has totally surprised me. I have been using it two weeks. Mega Plush is not a super wet mascara. Mega Plush does a great job of coating each individual lash instead of sticking several lashes together. I do not have to use my lash comb very much. It gives my lashes a more natural, feathery look, but not spidery. It does lengthen, but the strength is how it keeps the lashes separated and thickens each lash. The more coats I apply, the more length I can get.

The brush is similar to the traditional spoolie type, but the shape is fatter in the middle and tapered at the end. It has some bristles that stick out further than others so it can grab those hard-to-get lashes.

I like how it lasts, does not flake off, my lashes are soft, and it does come off with soap and water. However, it did not run when I cried while cutting onions.

Mega Plush is not for you if you are going for that fake lash look, spidery lashes, or super long lashes. But if you want so see all of your individual lashes, and want a more natural, feathery look, you may want to consider Maybeline Mega Plush. HTH
