I'm looking for a reasonably priced foundation for my over 60 skin. Fortunately, I have pretty good skin with not too many lines or wrinkles. I'd like something with coverage that doesn't look cake or mask-like, not too oily but definitely not matte (maybe dewy would be a better description). I've tried many from the Q like Tarte, Bare Escentuals, and haven't found one that I really like enough to repeat--especially since the cost of those is usually $35 plus. I also have an issue with color as I have a warm/light complexion but most in this category are too yellow. Any suggestions?

I am 66 yr old and have been wearing L'Oreal true match foundation for a few years now. They have a lot of colors and they are actually marked w for warm , c for cool tones and n for neutral. There is liquid foundation and mineral powder foundation. It is matte - which is to say it doesn't have that glittery stuff in it that so much MU has these days. Allow yourself a little time as there are a lot of colors to look at to get that perfect match. Once you do - they are numbered so you can always get the same one again -or choose the same color in both the liquid and the powder. They also have a fabulous concealer. Good luck.

I really like the L'oreal Visible Lift Blur Foundation. I wear the Nude Beige color and have a light warm beige skin tone. I think the L'oreal True Match is another nice option as well.

According to Allure Magazine the two top drug store brands are Maybelline and Covergirl. However I happen to like Lorea tool. I have used products from all three of three of these companies, espscially Maybelline. I would take a look on Beautypedia.com and get some reviews on foundations from these companies. If I am not mistaken Covergirl has an excellent ant-aging foundation. Maybelline is coming out with some great and highly rated products almost monthly. Loreal at one time was own by Lancome but I'm not sure if it still is since cosmetic companies are being sold constantly. To make it easy on your self since drug stores don't have testers, if you can stop by a department store to see what shade of foudation you need if you don't know.....people do this all the time. Finally don't ever be afraid to return a makeup product no matter where you buy it since pennies count in todays world!!
Good Luck, HTH!

I know what you mean about shades. Laura Mercier does carry many, many different shades with warm, cool or neutral undertones. I know you can return if you are not satisfied. as far as drugstore, Loreal True Match may be your answer as you choose your undertone and how deep you need the shade. I know it comes in liquid as I have used it and two other formulas one of which I believe is mineral and can't remember the other. I know Walgreens takes returns of makeup. Stila is another brand I am fond of -- check out their sale items. I know they have a CC stick marked down to $5 right now. Check them all out. Good luck. ![]()

here are some suggestions I found on U Tube for mature ladies.
L'Oreal visible lift serum absolute(I love this one as well and is the one I use to use).
Revlon Age Defying
L'Oreal Tru Match Lumi(especially for those with dry skin or normal to dry)
Maybelline Fit Me and Maybelline dream liquid mousse in a bottle.
CG with Olay in another nice one in a pump bottle that looks swirled. it is a serum and foundation in one.
All of these they said are a soft focus foundation that won't settle in or show up fine lines/wrinkles.
I am currently using the BE serum foundation though in bare shell since for me I only use one drop on the top of my Real Techniques expert face brush than dot around my face then blend in using a circular motion. For me this one bottle lasts 3 months so, $29 is a decent price for lasting that long.
I have dry sensitive skin with a light complexion.

L'Oreal True Match (the original).......absolutely can't be beat. I have worn it since it first hit the market. And it works for me in 110 degree heat.

Patticakes: I have used Revlon Age Defying DNA foundation for a long time now but recently it seemed to be replaced with Revlon Age Defying Firming & Lifting foundation (which actually seems to be the same thing to me). It gives a lovely natural-looking coverage which is definitely not matte, and I always feel good when I am wearing it. I am a senior with a very fair, not oily skin. It costs around $16 in Walgreens.
