Got An Email From QVC About Josie Maran Argan Oil Face Cream

I got an email today saying some people who got the Denim & Co. TSV jeans may have gotten a sample packet included in their package (I didn't). It says JM  voluntarily recalled the product (something having to do with it not meeting some kind of standard with the FDA). It said to discard the sample. I didn't buy her TSV but remember a product was substituted for another. Maybe it was this recalled product.

I got a sample last week of hers but have not received any email about it.  What I received is called Argan Enlightenment Illuminizer.  I haven't used it.  I don't think that was the cream that was taken out of her TSV but not sure.  It says this an illuminzer liquid.

This is sold at Sephora. To me, it looks exactly the same as her original illuminizer so I wonder if she just renamed it.

A face cream WAS the item in the TSV that was removed but not sure if it is the same face cream. I hope they notified those that got the TSV early and actually received the face cream if it is the same one!

Purchased the jeans, got the email, NO sample.  Just as well.

Re: Got An Email From QVC About Josie Maran Argan Oil Face Cream

I too bought the denim & co soft stretch tsv jeans + today rcvd email from customer care re Important Product Recall Notice: Sample Packet of Josie Maran Argan Oil Face Cream. If you need more info call Josie's customer service 855-461-6512. Also see QVC Product Recall Page. I checked the latter and both the sample packets + the 1.7 fl oz. version included in the TSV purchased via QVC Insider. I don't get the Insider but noticed much chatter when the TSV was made available to viewers, that it was different than the one advertised in + purchased via QVC Insider. I became curious when the TSV was aired at midnight but wasn't being shipped til Sept. Then all the questions from insiders on the tsv page asking why isn't the face cream in the tsv as advertised....the QVC response was very scripted + stated only that the TSV consists of 5 of her best selling customer favorites. QVC DID NOT ADVISE THERE WAS A PROBLE W/THE FACE CREAM BUT HAD TO HAVE SUSPECTED THUS THE CHANGE UP. I like many of Josie's items. However, expiration dates on the actual item, not the packaging (it isnt even there as far as I've seen) should be required. As it stands, the consumer is expected to note the date of purchase + count 12-18 months shelf life? WE have no way of knowing which last 12 and which last 18 months.

Re: Got An Email From QVC About Josie Maran Argan Oil Face Cream

I use very few JM items...returned many at Sephora. I have my own skincare lines. I loathted her cleasning oil!! it was BAd in every way possible and now being a pro after trying nearly all from Burts Bees to uber high end cleansing oils I know good ones now. Her oil was tacky rancid bitter when it hit your mouth when rinsing the face and I think much as to do with selling rancid products or maybe sitting in heat?! Many of her sticks turn and oddly I ahve had many brands for years that are like new! Maybe she uses inferior oils. I am wary of her line. BUT do like the one body butter I have and adore her spf 47 many years. It ends there...after the body butter is gone I''m using a diff brand.

I have to agree with you here, especially regarding the cleansing oil. I've tried many too and hers is just awful, exactly as you described.

I like the body butter formulas but really dislike the scents so I no longer use them. The only thing I love of hers is her old makeup palettes -Those were awesome but she hasn't done them for years.  I like her matchmaker foundation (both powder and liquid) but like other things better, and one of her gelee blushes but the rest of the colors are too bright. Everything else was just subpar or downright awful (yeah, mascara, I'm looking at you).
