I knew there was something different going on with my face after looking at pictures or not being satisfied after doing my make-up. FINALLY I pin pointed what it is ! Droopy eyelids ! My eyes are drooping at the outer corners and I have "extra" eyelid skin now. Any tricks on how to counter this ? I was thinking less eyeshadow ,maybe ?

If you are not opposed to Botox, you can put a couple of drops under the eyebrows which will give lift to your eyelids. It works wonders.

You're probably not as old as I am, and I don't want to discourage anybody, but speaking from experience, everything I have that is drooping hasn't backed up or slowed up. Just take care of what you got girl!!

Drooping eyelids repair,(blepharoplasty) that are bad enough to affect your vision may be covered by insurance. I know many women that have had it done, I may be next!

My best friend's husband had an operation where some of the skin was removed because it was droopy. His insurance paid for it.

Now he is having the other eye done. It is not for cosmetic reasons, but because it is affecting his vision it droops so bad.

I would be afraid the Dr would remove too much skin. I guess you have to trust the Dr. Some say Nancy Pelosi had too much skin removed and that's why she looks like a deer in headlights.

I don't know about that. If it affects your vision perhaps your insurance would pay for it. As stated, his was paid because it affected his vision.

Don't think I need surgery just yet, but I am afraid if I did, that they old take off too much skin. Renee Zellwigger (sp?) had it done recently and she looks completely different !

I know what you are going through. I went on youtube and found some really good videos for this issue. There was one that was really helpful that I recently saw.. I'll go look it up and tell you. There are so many variables as to age, how droopy the eyes are, etc!

Here is the link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8iJPXDF2Rfs

I don't watch this person, but I put hooded eyes in the search box, saw this, and tried it and liked the results. But, there are a lot of tutorials about this. HTH

Eventually droopping eyelids will start to obstruct your vision and you can have them surgically repaired. medicare pays for this. I am getting this too . You can't get them fixed on insurance until it obstructs your vision to a certain degree.
