I used to prefer matte. Now I'm leaning towards dewy. I still use matte makeup, but now I add a touch of highlighting cream around the outer edges of my eyes, down the bridge of my nose and over my cupid's bow. That seems to give my face some life and dimention (spl?).

Dewy. I think matte looks ""caked in make-up"" and that's very aging.

My vote is for a satin finish. I also associate dewy with oily skin, but I don't want to look pastey dry either.

I used to like matte when I was younger and my skin was more oily.Now my combo skin tends to be more in the dry side than it used to be so I like a more satin finish due to the fact that matte can look aging on me.

I'm not in my 20s, 30s or even 40s so I prefer a more dewey look since matte just seems to exaggerate lines and wrinkles. I don't use anything sparkly or shimmery but like a liquid foundation with luminizer. Highlighting in the right places makes a world of difference!

I like a dewy look as long as it doesn't come off looking too shiny. I think a completely matte face is for young women only. Matte makeup settles in wrinkles and matte lipstick on a more mature women makes their lips look shriveled. However, I am not in favor of super, shimmery or sparkly lips on any woman.

Skin like, which would probably equate to satin. But, i like my nose matte & the top of my cheekbones dewey.
