Actually, I stopped once for 6 months. Went back to the salon. Got home and DS said " OMG MOM! YOU LOOK 10 YEARS YOUNGER"!

No. My hair pulls very, very warm and there was nothing I was ever able to do at home to reverse that.

I have my hair done at a salon. I get my base shade darkened and then I get chunky highlights every other visit. My hair has even given stylists fits with the warmth.

I color at home, but I try to use more gentle products. I like the brand Naturcolor the best. Also Naturtint is a good product, Madison Reed for me is ok but more costly than the other two. The first two are like $16 or $17 . Madison Reed is in the $20s. Madison Reed can be ordered online at their website, Ulta also carries it, but limited shades. Madison Reed also has their own boutique near me in Paramus, NJ. Their sales associates are knowledgable. Naturcolor and Naturtint I can usually find at Whole Foods and The Vitamin Shoppe.

Yes, I do my overall color, about every 6 weeks. My hair is about 50% gray but the grays have a nappy, frizzy texture, and the color helps smooth them as well as add color. Not stopping! I use only those products with a developer of 20, it's gentler- Revlon colorsilk, Garnier Nutrisse.
