I have coarse thick hair, slightly wavy - I have alot of the different WEN products except I don't have the oils or the finishing cream - been debating if the oils are worth it - or if you could just make your own oil combo?
I have wheat/gluten allergies - don't know if the oils are gluten free...Vitamin E can have wheat and gluten in it... ![]()
The glossing serum doesn't seem to be a treatment but similar to a silicon...?

YES!!
The oils have been the biggest game changer for my hair, aside from the CC having no harsh sulfate in them. Hair and scalp are MUCH happier when I am consistent with using the oils.
I am not sure about wheat/gluten in them so I would suggest calling the salon and see what they say.

Yes yes yes!!! Also the newer one, the serum. The oils are the single biggest difference-maker IMO. They are wonderful!

The oils are definitely worth it. I have tried making my own oils, which have turned out well, but they do not compare to the Wen oils. The oils smell wonderful and soak in so well. They are great for intensive hair treatments, added to the styling crème or leave in CC. they are also great for skin! If you cant tell I'm a HUGE fan of the oils.

I just recently purchased this item. It has been a great addition to using with all other Wen products. I haven't been using Wen for very long but really like the additional Wen products that I have tried.

I really like the oils. They make my hair feel softer and healthier. I also use them on my body, my face, and mix them into other things. I even use a few droppers full of WEN oil in pure acetone when I need to remove glitter nail polish. It prevents my nails and cuticles from getting dried out and smells much more pleasant.
I have the glossing serum and you're right, Siameeze, it's mostly silicone and it's not much different from the other silicone serums I've bought in drugstores. I didn't find any I liked in the drugstore and the glossing serum wasn't any different. I'm not a fan. If you've tried the drugstore serums and like them, you might want to try it, but you'll do just as well using the drugstore serums and saving the money.

I'm a big fan of WEN oils. Use the tea tree as a scalp treatment - not only keeps my scalp healthy and normalized, but helps my hair grow faster. Use WEN oils mixed with my styling crème for added shine and moisture, on my face and body as a moisturizer, it naturally gets on my cuticles from using it everywhere else - I have no cuticles for my nail tech to push back.
Yes, you could make your own, but you would have to know the right combination of essential oil to carrier oil, and the right blends to get the best results. Buying all the high quality oils would be as expensive or more so than the WEN oils and for me, take a lot of time. It's worth it to me to let Chaz have the expertise and mix it for me.
As for the finishing cream, if you use it, use just a pea size, warm it in your hands and smooth it on dry hair - good for high humidity days, second hair days, etc.

Thank you all! I guess I will have to add the oil to my wish list for the next time he's back on
Have a blessed day ![]()

This is pretty much how I feel. I once bought a drawer full of essential and carrier oils for making soaps, candles, perfume oils and beauty products. I don't worry so much about the ratio of carrier and essential oils for benefits, but I had a heck of a time with scents. I would muck things up constantly. Sometimes I'd get a perfect oil, but still had to go and much it up with "just a touch more" of something or another and ...yuck. I'm totally willing to let someone else do that part.
I do, however, mix my precious WEN oils with other things so that I don't use them as quickly. I have one bottle of Tea Tree I save for mixing with a little castor oil to use on my hair. (I have another bottle that holds 100% WEN Tea Tree oil that I use on my face.) I also add the Sweet Almond Mint or other oils to my unscented body lotion. It scents the oils, adds a moisture boost, and means I use the expensive oil more slowly. Win!

I love the WEN oils. I oil my hair/scalp about twice a week, on average, but also use the oils on my face every other night in place of nighttime moisturizer. My skin looks fantastic.
