I live in central Texas, so I really have no idea what snow smells like. I will say that if you want a fragrance to match something like Snow, you might want to check out the Demeter Fragrance Library Pick-Me-Up scents. I have several of their other scents and I think they capture those "day to day" kinds of scents better than anyone. They're known for scents like Dirt, Wet Garden, Rain, Gin & Tonic, Play-Doh, Funeral Home, Mildew, Thunderstorm and Tomato. I haven't smelled Snow, but their other scents really do make you think of whatever they're named after. Ulta usually carries a few in their brick and mortar stores, but to get the more esoteric scents, you'll need to look online. I've had several Demeter fragrances and have never been disappointed.
Snow has won several awards and this is the description from the Demeter Fragrance site: "All precipitation (rain and snow) comes from water vapor in the air. If the air is warm, the frozen droplets melt and fall to the earth as rain. If the air is cold enough the water vapor crystallizes around a speck of ice or dust and falls to the earth as snow. If there is no dust for the water vapor to crystallize on, it will remain in the air as a cloud. ... At Demeter, after years of effort, we were able to capture the essence of snow in a scent; chilling, cool, clean and fresh, with a touch of dust (necessary to form flakes) and earth (upon which to rest). There is literally nothing like it outside of the Demeter Fragrance Library."
