Re: Discussion of IT Cosmetics

I forgot to mention my favorite. The matte eyeshadow pallette Romantics. I love it. Use it every day!

You can try it at Ulta.  I tried the CC cream and the celebration foundation, and the light is too light for me, and the medium is too dark. So, it is not a brand for me.

Re: Discussion of IT Cosmetics

I like the Celebration Foundation, Bye Bye Undereyes and Bye Bye Pores, and brushes.  I got a rash from the CC Cream/Foundation.  Haven't tried her other products.

Re: Discussion of IT Cosmetics

Love Bye Bye Undereye and Pores, Celebration and the CC Cream.

Waterproof Tightline is a staple.

YLBB in Romantic Rose is my HG lipliner. The color is perfect for me.

I use the Bronzer  and Blushes as well.

The only thing I will not use is anything with "Radiance", because it's sparkle in disguise!

Re: Discussion of IT Cosmetics

I don't use IT cosmetics anymore but when I did here is what I tried some years ago and my thoughts. I never did find anything I thought was amazing. I have normal to dry skin for reference.

Celebration foundation- looked much too powdery, even when I only used a very little. Made me look like I had large pores, which I don't! Settled into the fine lines at the outer corner of my eyes that show up when I smile. Also kept getting a coating over the foundation that had to be scraped off in order to pick up any foundation. I use the same skincare I have with many other pressed powder foundation and this has never ever happened with any other one so no, it was not my skincare causing it. Even if it were, I am certainly not going to change my skincare to accomodate foundation when there are other ones that don't do this.

Lip stains (Je ne sais quo)- turned an awful fuschia color on me. Sorry but that isn't my natural lip color like she said it would be, lol. I also did not find it very moisturizing and it did not last long on my lips. Very big fail and not worth the price.

Bye bye undereye concealer- very thick. I don't even know why I had this as I don't really use a concealer but I did use it as a foundation by using just a tiny drop and a beauty blender sponge and I thought it worked well that way. That is how I used it up. Would not repurchase as I like other things better and I no longer purchase IT cosmetics.

Bye bye pores setting powder- again not sure why I had this as I don't really use setting powder. very fine powder. LIke the foundation, I felt that it looked too powdery on, regardless of how little I used and didn't really do anything for me but I don't generally use setting powders as I don't need them.

Brushes- I know they have a cult following but I thought they were just okay, certainly not worth the exorbitant price.  I have a few from quite a number of years ago and they are very dense. I guess I am one who is not too fond of really dense brushes as I feel like they really absorb product and don't give as smooth of a finish as I like.

There were a few other things I tried that have long since been discontinued so I won't bother reviewing those but overall, I was never impressed with the brand. Even if the products were cruelty free and didn't contain animal derived ingredients, I wouldn't try anything new as too many of the products now contain too many ingredients that are known irritants and just too many ingredients in general, most of the good stuff which is lower on the list meaning there is such a miniscule amount in the product that it really isn't doing anything for you. I like the idea that makeup can help your skin but, in all honesty, it usually cannot, or at least not to the degree that Jamie claims it can.

Re: Discussion of IT Cosmetics

LOVE both the Hello Lashes and Tightline mascara primer.  Desert island products!  I have baldy lashes and these two products together seek out and build what little bit I'm working with.  No other mascara can hold a candle.

I've tried the Bye Bye Undereye and agree with other posters that it amplifies under eye lines and is too cakey (and in my case, too yellow).

Re: Discussion of IT Cosmetics

Used it for a while, but it wasn't a great fit for my sensitive skin.  I went back to Bare Minerals and mentally scolded myself for leaving in the first place.

Re: Discussion of IT Cosmetics

I agree.  I went back to bareminerals where I can at least find a matching color.  With IT I'm too light for Rich but too dark for Tan.  I shouldn't have to bye two just to get a match.

Also with the CC cream, I just couldn't seem to get past the fact that "snail slime " is one of the ingredients.

Re: Discussion of IT Cosmetics

Like a lot of the others here, I've been with IT since Jamie first came to QVC.

My favorites:

Celebration foundation illumination - For some reason the illumination looks better than the regular on me (I have both).

CC Veil SPF Cushion Compact foundation - my everyday go-to if I'm in a hurry

Tightline mascara - wear it every day

Bye Bye makeup cleanser - LOVE this!

Pretty in (the seasons) eyeshadow trio - I have all four seasons. I learned to press these in, instead of brushing them on,  and the color payoff is much better; I also love the convenience.

Any of the brushes - they are terrific!

Not much luck with:

Gel eyeliner pencils - pretty, but don't last on me

Brow power universal shade - This may work for everyone, but it is too dark for me, no matter how lightly I apply it.

I really like this line and hope it doesn't change under its new ownership. But based on other lines, that's wishful thinking! Smiley Sad

Re: Discussion of IT Cosmetics

For the reason that there isn't an adequate color match for me, the foundations and concealers are a no for me.  The yellow silk powder is ok, but  I still prefer Bobbi Brown's and YBF's versions of yellow setting powder.

The Ombre Radiance Blush is a winner.  It always looks like that just right blush.  My favorite product in the brand is the Lipgloss Stain. My first purchase was  more than two years ago (the set shown below).  Since that time I am on my second single purchase of Je Ne Sais Quoi.  I love it!
