Donkey milk has powerful anti-ageing and healing properties as it contains essential fatty acids. These fatty acids lessen the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles and help to regenerate damaged skin. It is also effective in healing and soothing minor skin abrasions.

@monicakm

Just curious, is this your wonderful buddy?  If so, please give him a treat from me...maybe a carrot?

I love their little round bellies and sweet faces.

Do you drink it or just apply it to your skin?

He's not  ours, he's a neighbor.  I love him!  He gets all kinds of treats from us and the grandbabies when they're here.  I don't think I've ever heard him bray tho.

@monicakm  Aww,so sweet.  Our son lives near a donkey rescue farm in Southern Illinois, they are the cutest creatures.

@MoJoV

I grew up in Southern Illninois and would love to know where the donkey rescue is located.

I went back "home" in 2018 for my 50th high school reunion and was reminded that it was a good place to grow up.

Of course, I couldn't wait to get out of town (and moved to Maryland), but I have mostly happy memories from that time.

@Witchy Woman Our son lives in Jonesboro now.  But I believe the farm was on US 126 just east of Anna where he used to live.  They would be by the fence sometimes.  So sweet

I've heard of Anna, but the furthest south I've been was Carbondale.

Illinois is a big state.  I spent 21 years there and know very little about it...glad to know there is a donkey rescue, however!
