Standing. I am not that quick, but, it doesn’t bother me. Many interruptions at my house, so standing works best.

@chrystaltree  that's not my vanity, but a picture of the chair.  Our bathroom has dark wood and chrome hardware.  It looks pretty and so light weight.

Seated at a vanity table.  When I was about 12 I got my first vanity table to match my bedroom set, before that I was using the "student" desk in my room.  When I stay at a hotel the first thing I do is scope out the good spot to do the deed.

I can do it either way too but enjoy sitting on a chair holding a magnifying mirror for me.  This is a nice little modern chair.  Ir's by Dumouth I think at Amazon.  Took my boyfriend about a half hour to put together. 

In the a.m. standing of course when I have to run out the door.

Interesting question.... I have always stood up when putting on makeup. In fact, it has never occurred to me (at any point in my life) to sit down. I'm surprised to learn that so many people sit down.....it's just interesting to learn what everyone else does.
