I've always  enjoyed relaxing and putting my make up sitting

in a chair.

I used to live in a home that had a special "vanity area" with great lighting before entering the bathroom.  I got used to it.

It came back to me last year when I moved because I have much more space now in my his and her's bathroom. 

Here's a picture of mine.  How about you?

sitting in a swivel vanity chair, but i can do it standing up also.

i just find it more relaxing to be sitting down.

Sit. But o have a little bit of a different setup. When we built I extended the bathroom counter for my vanity. But I didn't lower the vanity part as you typically see because I am disabled and need to sit on a bar stool. So my vanity counter is same height as the rest of my counter. Was fortunate when we built the house my sister put this in my bathroom plan because it's something I didn't think about. I love going in there and turning on a podcast and just relax doing my makeup. I will usually be in there a hour and just take my time. It has a drawer to I can put all my makeup in on my vanity side. I will take a picture on a bit to show.

I have a vanity and stool in my bathroom to apply makeup sitting. Although the vanity has a triple mirror, I have my 10x lighted magnifying mirror as well.

Standing.  My vanity is a cabinet style, so nowhere to put my legs if I were sitting and the mirror is too far away.  I have small suction cup mirror stuck to the full-lenght mirror closet door next to my vanity and I have a lighted stand mirror I can pull out of the cabinet and put on a big book for close-up work.  I really wish I had a way to look up to put eyeliner on though.  Looking down into a mirror just doesn't work well for me.

Standing. After skin care I put on foundation, then walk away and do something for 5-10 minutes for it to set. Then return and start with eyes, liner, shadow (optional) followed with one coat of mascara. Walk away again for another 5-10 minutes. Brows and another coat of mascara. Lip liner and blush and again wait. Finally setting powder and lipstick.

Between these stops I'll make the bed, or clean up breakfast, or get dressed, or fix hair. I find myself doing most things in stages anymore.

All my makeup takes about 5 minutes or less. I stand.

But I can still see my 2 lovely aunts sitting at their dressers putting on their lipstick & rouge. I guess powder, too. But all I remember is the red.

I stand and only takes a few.  I'm not a big make up user.  I do use good lightening though.
