@just bee , @geezerette - I am trying to be optimistic, look at the positive things. Even though we are stuck at home, so far we are all healthy. Our state is getting hit hard, I'm just hoping the majority of it stays down state.
I have to reduce my work hours starting next week so that bums me out, I'll be stuck at home even more, but I have plenty of PTO so at least I'll still get paid, and hubby is getting paid too, so we're not worrying about how to pay the bills.
I'm just trying to get thru one day at a time, they're saying the next couple of weeks are supposed to be really bad, We shall see how this plays out

@geezerette -yes, it will definitely help to start warming up a bit. We do have some acreage and a lake, so we're looking forward to getting out and doing some fishing. Today is supposed to be pretty nice, in the 50's and sunny, so I'm hoping to get out a bit later.
I am very glad that I have been able to continue dieting and not start eating again. I think the only thing that has saved me is that I had already been in this mode for a couple of months before it all hit so I had kinda gotten into a routine. Trying to start and make changes now, among all the stress, would be impossible.
Plus I think that I feel like it's still one thing that I can control, when everything else is so out of control. I can at least control what I put in my mouth.
Thank you for your kind words, you guys really are the best.

@just bee -the mantel is pretty! More pictures please! I need more distractions!
On a beauty note. I ordered a PUR 4 in 1 pressed powder foundation from Ulta yesterday during their 21 days of beauty because it was half price yesterday. I've heard a lot of good things about it and I've been wanting to try it for ages, so I decided to splurge and order it. Do I need it? Nope, but it's only half price once or twice a year and I don't want to spend any more than I have to on something I've ever tried before.
I didn't order anything else, just the foundation, even though it meant paying for shipping, I didn't want to get a bunch of stuff that I didn't want or need just for that. Plus I had an e-gift card from Ulta from a previous order for $10 so that actually covered the price of the shipping.
I hope that I like it, I like my Everyday Minerals but I'm getting tired of the mess of the loose minerals flying all over.

And here is the new brick above the fireplace. These dogs were on the mantel when the brick was red. I thought they'd look better against the new brick.
I saved these dogs after the fire and we unboxed them yesterday and put them back where they were. I was determined to save a little bit of whimsy.
Meet Schatzi and Spike.
I love it! đź’–

Aw, don't be too hard on yourself. Everybody's under pressure now and going through unprecedented territory. You don't have your usual outlets to relieve it, along with fewer distractions. And heck, it's all you hear everywhere! It's really hard not to get depressed and angry when you see and hear people that are smarter than us (or at least you hope they'd be) only talking gloom and doom 24/7.
It does sound like you have a handle on your diet, so you can concentrate on your success in that area. And how much better you feel. And how much more you'll be able to enjoy yourself when you can get back out again, compared to how you felt with all those extra pounds.
If your kids are running out of things to do, you might want to check your local online resources. My niece is the children's librarian at her local library and she's been doing online videos for various projects for kids of all ages. She has a theme going: crafts using all those toilet paper rolls we have nowadays! 🤣 It's neat for me to be able to 'see' her more often.

That's all you can really do. Stay positive (let the kids see that positivity) and take things as they come. I find myself using an expression I've never liked, but it seems to be working: Go with the flow.
It's the opposite of how I normally operate. I resist change and want to have some control. Now there's so much happening so quickly that I just have to take one bit of information at a time and move on. Like when BH said my armoire was damaged. I just shrugged it off.
I'm not spontaneous or laid-back. I worry and analyze every decision. But I can't navigate the current situation without a little more flexibility and less planning.
But this has to be a temporary thing. I'd like to keep a little more of the adaptability and less of the analysis, but I can't function on a hammock. I need structure, purpose and something that gets me fired up.
I watch countries slide into chaos and think: How did this happen? I think it was when everyone decided to go with the flow.

It's so impressive that you have been able to stick with HEP and you're keeping the weight off. In times like these it's easier to eat, drink and be merry and toss discipline out the window.
But, as you said, that's the little bit of control you can exercise when everything else is out of control.
It probably makes sense for every person to find something to concentrate on. If there's something that's been on the back burner, now's the time to focus on it.
I look at all the COVID-19 memes and think: There are some really smart, creative human beings out there.
We may come out of this with the Great American Novel, a film worth watching, better TV, better music, better inventions and cures for diseases.
Or just a lot of great memes.

Or we could come out of this with a better foundation! Hey, if you don't have the right foundation, then anything you put on top of it is a waste of time.
I hope it works for you. And half-off is always a good thing.

Are there any around-the-house projects that need to be done? Painting a room? Refinishing an old piece of furniture? Repotting the plants? (I want to plant a tree but we're taking new landscaping slowly.)
Any photos that need to go in an album?
Are the kids helping with meal prep? I'm trying to think of group projects...
