Re: ComPact 2018 -- Simple September

I managed to get two trunk loads of clothes to Goodwill this month.  It took two tries to be able to be ruthless enough to pare it down that much.  But that put a big dent in the master closet clean out, clothes-wise, at least.  And I’ve been tossing old summer clothes as we’re transitioning to fall, along with tossing old winter clothes that I saved from last year.  I’m going to start wearing some of the new stuff I have purchased and squirreled away.  Also, as I have more dresser room, I’ve decided not to have any more clothes “in waiting” than I can fit in the furniture.  No more totes, extra boxes/bags, etc. jammed with new clothes to be worn at some future date.

I also tackled two junk drawers that I’ve wanted to get at for years.  They were aptly named since a whole lot of what they held was junk and got tossed.  I have one more kitchen utensil catch-all drawer to get to now.

But I'm reaching a point where I’ve donated and tossed most of what I can.  I’m now at the point where I have more things I’d like to get rid of, but I don’t know whether I should just keep donating, or try to put it aside for some sort of yard or garage sale.  Two problems with that: 1, I really don’t have the room to put everything in one spot to see if what I have is enough (or good enough) for a sale.  And, 2, I don’t really want to go through the whole sale thing, even with someone else involved.  So I’ll probabably just avoid the rest for a while to see if I come up with a suitable solution.

HEP has been going fairly well, simply because I got feeling bad and decided to quit the cr*p.  I’ve got other stuff going on in my life at this point and just can’t afford to keep sabatoging myself.

September had some ups and downs, but it’s ending with me getting some things done that had needed doing, including my major driveway project.  So I guess I have to admit that September will end on a positive note.  Which is good.  I’ll take positive.👍
