I respectfully have to disagree with you. From my perspective, you did have a good Thanksgiving. Even though your husband was (is) in the hospital, you had him for Thanksgiving. And to be even more thankful, his new medication seems to be working for him. With God’s good grace, he will be with you at Christmas—any many more to come.
All thoughts here are with you and your husband. Good to here from you. Hang in there!🤞🙏
That was perfect. Thank you for the reminder about the things we don't realize are gifts.
You just get wiser by the minute, G.
Ha! Not wise enough to catch my typos before you quoted me!🤗😄
Here, here!

@just bee wrote:Today's the big day. As suggested in the instructional manual that accompanied my kettle, I am filling it with water, boiling and repeating before I make my first cup of tea.
The manual also says:
Wipe the appearance of body with damp cloth or cleaner, not use poisonous cloth.
So I'm looking around the kitchen: Where did I put those poisonous cloths again?
They might be referring to the antibacterial wipes -- I'm not sure. Hope they don't know something about my Magic Eraser that I don't know.
When I graduated with my English degree, there was a recession and, subsequently, few teaching jobs. Many of my classmates went on to law school or to Asia to teach.
I can see that wasn't helpful.
But I shouldn't mock the manual. Have you read your local news website recently? Maybe it's just Albuquerque.
But I doubt it.
@just bee Thanks for that laugh! Hm, now where did I put the poisonous cloths this time? Every time we go to Japan, we tell the kids that they could probably find a pretty good job as an English editor. Or maybe not. It doesn't seem like they want the correct spelling/context to be published.

I use black Fri as a time to restock. I keep a list on my phone that I add or delete things. Then I try to hold out until Nov to purchase them. But I did take the liberty to splurge on some makeup... So I should probably do the no-buy 2019...
I have 1 tub of body butter and 2 partial tubes of body lotion remaining that I purchased between 2017-2018. I pretty much did not use body lotion during the summer. So knowing that I only bought one additional lotion. That should get me through 2019. I've gotten much better at not stocking up on bath & body products.
I have not gotten better at not buying eyeshadow. Sad face.

It's Cyber Monday and my inbox is filling up fast.
Tempted by nothing! Until I saw the "tea barrels" at Harney & Sons...

I can't stop watching this. Whenever I think it's the end of Western civilization, I see something like this and it restores my faith in humanity. There are still some brilliant minds out there.
I just marvel at those who can make these connections in their brains. And then share it!

Smart! Then you can start the new year not needing anything. ![]()

So this is my morning. Spectacular sunrise, sip of tea, delete, sip of tea, delete...

The urge to purchase a barrel of tea has passed.

Thirteen years.
That's how long I've been waiting for someone to come along and open a business where another in our neighborhood closed. Thirteen years ago. (See, this is why I worry about Hobby Lobby sitting empty.)
Well! Today there's a sign. After thirteen years. A new business is coming to the neighborhood.
An empty lot will now be a open-air market.

Somebody has waaay too much time on their hands. Including me, for watching it.
@But, okay, it’s funny. In fact, it’s hysterical. I laughed my @$$ off.
Cute, too.
