You always know how to get to me!  Now I’m sitting here typing with tears running down my face.  I’ve seen this look so many times from the monster dog.  It’s also one of the things that haunted me right before that third try at giving her up.  

When I finally crossed The Rainbow Bridge and she was there with all the other pets I’ve loved and lost, what could I possibly say to her to justify my actions?

I don’t know where you get those pictures, but I’d swear that last one is a photo of our dog.  It looks exactly, and I mean, exactly like The Monster Dog.  Right down to the wavy fur on the butt.  It could be her twin.

She should look familiar.  I had a simple surveillance system set up at your place.  A guy showed up at the house and she let him in.

Yes.  And the author and/or illustrator definitely had a Rottweiler since the drawings are so life-like.  That one above, for instance.

Now that I have one for my very own, all I can think of when I see this is, “She’s getting dog hair and drool all over her dress!”
