You know how you go through those periods when your hair looks bad or the skin on your face is just not looking like yours?  It's like parts of your body just rise up and decide to betray you.  What's the first thing you want to do?  Buy something to fix it.  That's usually some treatment that you'll use once, then never use again.

Anyway, I'd been looking at Konjac sponges for a long time and I passed because (I'm cheap) I already have Buf-Pufs (and I'm cheap) that I don't use that often.  Well, I was ordering my annual (cheap) mascara and thought I'd try those Brand X sponges.

I really like this thing.  I think it was about five bucks -- something like that.

As I've aged, my skin can no longer take most exfoliating products.  Many months ago, I bought exfoliating cotton rounds instead of plain cotton rounds.  (I did not know exfoliating cotton rounds existed.)  I put them in that bathroom, and there they sat.  Last month, I opened the package and started using them on my face.  They are fine for a light exfoliation.

Where have I been?  Exfoliating cotton rounds?  Man, maybe I have been spending too much time away from the stores.

The Konjac is very gentle -- I like the texture.  But I don't like the idea of replacing it every few weeks.  That could add up.  (Wow.  I am cheap.)

I had a really close call.  Last night, I was watching Beekman on evine, and they got to me.  I ordered the set of three hand washes.  This morning, I woke up with buyer's remorse.  Huge buyer's remorse.  I quickly looked at the order on my phone and found that I could cancel it, and I did.  I was so relieved.  $42 for three bottles of soap.  Am I the only one who thinks that is really expensive?  Darn, I have to leave.  School is out in 27 minutes.

I saw a thread here about Treat lip balm.  I went to the website and starting picking out flavors.  Then it occurred to me that the last thing I need is more lip balm.  I went to the closet and found two unused tubes.

Don't ask me about expensive hand washes.  I've been using philosophy 3-in-1s at the sink.  (How big are the bottles?)

Good to hear!  Speaking of chocolate, I'm starting to panic about Halloween.  I know I have enough candy.

But what if I don't?

You'll have enough.

How do you know this?  Is this some kind of momsense?

No.  It's just that 132 items sounds like enough.  But now that I am thinking about it, Halloween is on a Saturday, and the weather here is supposed to be really nice.  Hmmm.  I wonder if I will have enough.  I usually count on 120 kids.

Speaking of lip balms.  I have three tinted lip balms and love how moisturizing they are but do not like the colors.  I am using them when I exercise outside, but it will take months to finish them.  When we see our dentist for our six month cleaning, he gives us lip balms in our goody bags.  Plus I have lip balms that I have purchased and some that have come in kits.  My gosh!  I have enough lip balms for years!!!!

I bought the exfoliating rounds by mistake.  I thought I was buying plain cotton rounds.  I think I got them at Target, but I'm not sure.

ETA:  No, you are not cheap.  Those small purchases add up to big money!

See?  It's that Saturday/nice weather thing that has me paranoid.

Okay, Compacters, I feel the need to respectfully chime in here if I may. Just bee, I agree with dosey that you have plenty of candy.  This is based on your posts about the large number of full sized candy bars you had left over from last year (or was it the year before?).  It would be one thing if you ate them (and I am at a loss as to understand why you don't 😃), but I believe I remember reading that you eventually threw them out.  😧

So what if you run out?  Just turn off your porch light. :-)

just bee,

It really does make a difference. I.'ve been using showergel at the kitchen sink and it sure goes faster. Soon even faster once the handsoaps are done in the bathroom.

One compact confession: You know you have a soap hoarding problem when you can't sleep and start planning which shower gel you will use next in the shower, kitchen and bathroom. First, Autumn Air in shower then Gingerbread Man... no save Gingerbread Man for January since its a supersize.. maybe Bananas Foster sice I still have that $15 dollar bottle that just bee reminded me about,... no thats supersize too..., you really need to use those grapefruit, lime and cherry gels from years ago that bee was talking about the let go and let live line.. they are even older you forgot about thoose...they are supersize too......zzzzzzzzzzz

I can relate, but I plan what eyeshadow I will use the next morning.Smiley Frustrated
