Thanks for your response. I do plan to take a couple of months off to enjoy being a stay-at-home Grandma as I have a granddaughter who lives with me. I already get Social Security and I'm in the process of trying to get into Medicare. It's harder than you think if you are older than 65. I am working with a financial person to try and figure out how much I will need. The hospital is paying me until the end of the summer.
In looking for part-time work, I want to find something where I am not essential and don't need to go out in bad winter weather. This past winter was just terrible.
Gosh, Barbiedr, I am so sorry for getting on my soapbox. I am just aggravated with the way our economy has changed hurting so many people. Add that to the idea that people with experience are no longer valued for their knowledge, compassion, wisdom, insight, and maturity. It really sets me off. You are very smart and doing everything to plan for this. It will all work out.
You can say that again about my experience not being valued. This was supposed to be a "non-profit" hospital but they would rather hire a new employee rather than pay someone who is at the top of the pay scale.. Well, it's a beautiful spring day and I am going to relish my new found freedom.

He was a cutie, I thought. On 4/17/2015 aprilskies said: So I have been wanting to make a hair oil -having hair issues-and thought I should pick up a ketchup type dispenser to make application easier. I did find one at Walmart, but, sheesh, was it flimsy so I didn't get it. Not that I need a fancy dispenser but maybe one that when I hold it, it doesn't fold like a cheap umbrella. So, I put it on the list. Today, I needed something from under my bathroom cabinet and started pulling things out and what do you know, I found a new hair color dispenser that I could use. Then, I wanted to buy a spray bottle because I want to make a mister, no, not a man, a refreshing spray, so what do I find an empty bottle from Jonathan Products, remember him, that I will clean and use. So, all that to say, we buy and save these things for when we need them, but then, when we need them we go and buy them again. So, I didn't add to the clutter in my cabinet or my to do list. moral of this long story, look before you buy. What happened to Jonathan? He had a TV show and a line of hair care products. Then, suddenly, he was gone.
I'm glad you found what you needed right at home.
You can buy his products on drugstore.com.

I so don't feel like doing homework. I'd rather watch the birds. Or Maple.
The first two are short:

The next two are longer, with more music.

I am feeling the same way today, just bee. The albatross is getting his grown up feathers...fascinating. The poor mom (or dad) eagle has done some great fishing over the last couple of days, but it has played heck with its feathers. Looks like a "bad hair day".

Well, I did the homework -- begrudgingly -- but still managed to keep an eye on the nests. That eagle nest looked like a fish market today! You might be referring to Mom's "do" this morning: She was getting rained on in Hanover. Remember, she is the same bird who took such good care of the nest when it was completely covered by snow.
The hawks are getting huge. Mom and dad both tried to fly into the nest at the same time earlier today and at the last second dad must have realized that there probably wasn't going to be enough room for the whole family. He did a Blue Angels maneuver and took off in another direction.
I should be getting ready to go to work, but I have to check on the nests one more time before then. Oh, my! I just checked on the baby albatross and he's walking! Wow -- he's suddenly much more active.
If it didn't get dark I'd probably be watching around the clock!

Hi, Everyone!
Just Bee, I didn't see the eagle during the snow. In fact, I didn't even know there were nest-cams until you posted the links the other day. Now I can hardly wait to see what the babies are doing every morning. A couple of days ago one of the eaglets (?) was nudging mom. (I think he wasn't caring for the rain falling on his head.) She "took him under her wing", and it was so very touching. Boy, those kids go through some fish; don't they.

Told you it was addictive!

I love those birds. Yesterday, the eagle brought several fish to the nest. Fish lined the nest's perimeter. One of the eaglets was napping with his head resting on a fish. In the hawk's nest, the babies were sitting very close together. They turned their heads to face each other and stared for a few moments. Then, they picked little things off each other. One of the babies spread his wings and put one wing around the other. I know he was just stretching, but I like to think that he was embracing his sibling. Yes, I'm hooked.
There is too much on my calendar until the end of May. Twenty-six activities/appointments, plus all of my day-to-day activities and raising children. A day at a time. That is what I tell myself every morning. I hope I can do something fun/new before the end of April. I have free time at noon on Tuesday and Wednesday, so I am going to think of something to do that is relaxing.
My hand cream stash no longer qualifies as a stash. Next month, I will have no back ups in my cabinet. Yippee, skippy!!
