Yes, I am sorry for your loss Findingmyjoy. I can tell Charlie was much loved.

I think I'm going to try it when it arrives. I put it on my credit card. I've begin trying nit to do that, but if it helps e health wise, I think it will be a good investment. On 1/7/2014 makeup addict said: Hi Vianney! Thanks for popping in. I thought about it. When I went to check the tracking, HSN Didn't provide any shipping info. Never refused anything before. I'm willing to pay for them to return it. It's a great deal, but the day after I orders, I tried to cancel it, but it was too late cancel the order. I didn't plan for the tires to be replaced.makeup addict, I apologize if I sounded insensitive in my last post. I was trying to make you feel better, in case you kept it, to know that it doesn't have to be an expensive coat hanger. Lol! Car maintenance is very expensive and if I were you, I would have also try to cancel.

justbee-you have such a way of expressing exactly what I am thinking! You just seem to have a way of putting it into words that I'm not that good at.
But you're right, I was thinking that if I spent the $20 every 8 weeks then I may not be as tempted to purchase other goodies that I do not need. What usually happens is that I'll be good for a month or two then I'll start to feel the urge to buy. Then I usually end up finding a "great sale" somewhere at BBW, Philosophy, Ulta, drugstore.com, wherever, and I will end up spending more, $30 or $50 because I have to get free shipping! But if I know that I have some treats coming, then maybe I can hold off and just get my new goodies when they arrive and that may satisfy my urge to buy. That's the one side of the rationale.
The $10 a month isn't a problem, it's adding to the stash right now that is the problem! That's really the only thing that's keeping me from signing up right now. I don't have a huge stash of makeup, but I definitely have enough. The problem is that I'm getting bored using the same products over and over month after month. I don't buy expensive makeup, I can't imagine spending $20 on one lipgloss. I suppose if I bought really expensive makeup I'd be glad that it lasts so long, but sometimes it's just fun to try something new! Like you, that's partly why I like e.l.f. The eyeshadows, lipglosses, nail polishes, etc. are inexpensive, and there's not so much product that you can't use it up in a reasonable amount of time and move onto something else. It's not sitting around for years and years. And the made in China thing really doesn't bother me either.
I just discovered this bundle a week or so ago, so I am going to try to hold out for a few weeks and see if I still feel the urge to try it. Plus I would have to get more information, I'm not sure if you can cancel, or if you're locked into a certain amount of shipments, etc.
Thanks again for all your insight, you're so fun to have around!

FindingMyJoy-I'm so sorry to hear about the loss of your Charlie. I know how hard it is to lose a beloved animal.
I have a Yorkie that will be 15 in a couple of months and she is just starting to show her age. I'm dreading the day when I have to make a decision about her.
You're totally right about the e.l.f. bundle adding to the stash quickly, because they do have such great prices, I'm sure that I wouldn't be able to use up all the items that I received before a new bundle arrived. That's the only thing that's keeping me from signing up right now!
I'm going to wait a few weeks and see if the urge is still there, sometimes these urges to buy pop up, and I feel so excited about trying something new, but the urge will pass with time and I'm glad I held out. So I'm going to try to sit on my hands for a while and see what happens.

rnmom. Stay strong and don't order the Elf bundle. It will just add to your stash and that will depress you. I have learned that kits or 'great deals' actually just add to the stress in my life!

Ladies, I just discovered this thread. Do you mind if I join in at this late date? I had already resolved not to buy a "want" this month. I also am not buying any lotions, potions, cosmetics, etc. until nearing the end of the bottle, etc.
This thread reminds me so much of the "shopaholics" thread when it first started. To give you an example of what I can be done. During that first year, I put aside money that I would normally have spent on something. At the end of the day, change went into a coin collector. I used a spreadsheet to track spending. This was at a time I was afraid that I might never be able to realize a dream because of a health issue at that time. In one year, I saved enough money to spend a week in Sydney, Australia. Granted, I used frequent flier miles for the ticket and the hotel was similar to a Holiday Inn...acceptable for sleeping when out and about all day. I had also set aside "vacation money" during that time. When I go on any trip, it goes on a card but the money is saved prior to the trip to pay for most of the trip.
Last evening, I took a look at my auto delivery plans of which I didn't have many. I cancelled all except one. I can buy when needed.
