I'm working on getting a refund for my Coldwater Creek Groupons. CWC will not accept them anymore since the announcement of their closing. When I emailed Groupon they responded the next day that they contacted the company and I could still use the deals. I knew that was incorrect because of the letter I received from the CEO & the site clearly states they no longer accept Groupon. I don't expect any problems getting a refund.

I did go to CWC over the weekend & used a $20 coupon to purchase a pretty blouse that was on clearance. It ended up costing $5 and change. Then I bought a few other tops, all but one on clearance. I'm going to miss CWC.

I am so happy you can get a refund. I was wondering about that. Yes, I'll miss CWC, too.

Week 1 update:

No purchases this week (other than necessities)

Used up: 1 bar soap, 1 (1/4 oz) moisturizer,1 toner, 2 votives, 1 hotel sized conditioner sample, and 1 Marilyn Miglin Goddess dusting powder (this was at least 8 years old)!

ORC: It's going well, I've got about 1/4 of the kitchen cabinets and drawers cleaned out and polished.

BTW, for those of us that are "cleaning challenged", have any of you discovered Springcleaning365? (FB page here), or website here. I just started yesterday. I think this is going to be just what I need.

Stay strong!

The older I get, the more cleaning challenged I become. I'm just tired of cleaning. This website looks interesting. Thanks!

I like the habit page.

I like the photo on the task page -- the one with the white blinds at the window? It reminds me of my windows. I have similar ones, with white blinds. Some differences, though. The brick outside is red at my house. And my blinds are covered with dust and dog hair. And it's kinda hard to see through my windows because they're covered with a layer of... well, dust and dog hair.

Maybe I should take a closer look at this site.

I have 10 of those #@?!*#&! white blinds in one room. Mine are covered in dust and cat hair. I really should wait until the cat is done shedding before I clean them. Yeah. That's it. Sounds like a plan.

Groupon gave me a credit for my CWC deals. I have no use for a credit (I rarely get Groupons) & I want my money back. I got money back once before so I see no reason why they can't do it this time. I politely requested my money rather than credit so wish me luck.

I hope you get a refund. They really should give you a refund considering the circumstances.

April has not gone so well for me. I have been eating and caving my way through the month. That, along with grooming my mustache, has kept me busy.

It didn't start off so bad. I used a few things and tossed some hair products. Then, I bought a couple of tops. Next, I bought two maxi dresses. Along came four new lip glosses and a Nyx eye shadow stick that is very similar to Mally's taupe e/s stick which I used up. UPS just delivered a pair of jeans moments ago. I almost ordered the Korres TS. All that anti-aging talk nearly got to me. Then, I remembered that I am going to try coconut oil next. Somehow, I managed not to order the TS. I bought Andrew's eye vitamin TS. I use this and love it, so the purchase is a valid replenishment. All this is a week.

Yesterday, I ate a whole box of chocolate covered, peanut butter, granola bars and at least eight chocolate cupcakes. This morning, I had a chocolate covered, chocolate chip, granola bar and another cupcake for breakfast. My stomach hurts.

Last night, I decided to toss some lip glosses to make up for my purchases. I found one that had turned gray. Super gross.

Not such a good week, but I am going to turn it around. I need to go to the grocery store, but it is pouring. I might go for it. What's a little rain?

I shouldn't be complaining. Technically, the new phones were free. What I paid for was upgrade fees and cases to protect the new phones.

I don't want to text. I don't want to watch videos or surf the net on my phone. I don't want to play games, collect apps, or record people doing bad things. I just want to be able to call someone if my car breaks down -- stuff like that.

I guess it's time to bite the bullet and take those first steps into the New Age. But I refuse to give up my Walkman.

Now I just need to figure out what to do with all these VHS tapes.

For Pete's sake! I have a Walkman, too. It is school bus yellow. If it ain't broke, . . . .

PS and BTW, I think the screen on a smart phone is too small to do anything. I'm with you. Make calls. Take calls. Snap a photo, perhaps.

Darn. I really need to get to the store. Off I go. Really.
