Anyone's thoughts on the new Clarisonic. Seems quite pricey at $179. Works with Smartphone app Really? Also there will be new brushes for applying makeup, thought they already had that. Also, a brush for "face firming" Really. IMO, this is going completely overboard on a face cleaning device.

If Clarisonic is supposed to deep clean makeup out of your pores, why would you use it to apply makeup deep into them? I don't get that part.

Regarding the app: *Buzz buzz.* "Is that your cell phone on vibrate?" "No it's my face brush. Guess it wants to make a call."

I'm not buying it, I have the original and hardly ever use it.

I was really interested in the presentation to see what this new App could truly bring to the whole Clarisonic cleansing.

My initial thoughts: I'm not buying it (literally & figuratively).

@PorcelainI especially agree with your point about the fact that now they are encouraging us to put makeup deep into our pores with that makeup brush.  You cannot use it around your eyes, so the whole supposed benefit of that makeup brushhead seems counter- intuitive.

I hadn't seen or heard of this.  I don't think I need an app to clean my face.

I agree with @Barb114 - this is definitely overboard, but I guess they have to keep reinventing the product to attract new customers.  Woman Frustrated
