I love the new Chanel fragrance! I haven't bought it yet, but I plan to do so. The price is steep; about $135 for the larger bottle, which would be almost $150 with tax! I will buy it sometimes before x-mas for a gift for myself! It is divine.

I already bought it when it first came out! I only wear Chanel number 5 perfume. I like it even better than the original. It is lighter and has a lovely rose scent that his not too overly flowery. They added citris for balance. It is fabulous.

I  always fall back to Chanel #19. Have worn it for years.

Don't like it -- definitely a change in formulation. I used to wear it all the time, but not this new version.

I first smelled it from a fragrance strip inside one of my magazines, and I thought it smelled nice, but when I actually sprayed it on me in a store I didn't like it at all.  To those who like it, enjoy !

So does this mean that the original Chanel 5 isn't going to be sold any more?Smiley Sad

Or are they replacing it with the new one?

Don't wear fragrance anymore but when I did,

Chanel No5 was my JAM!

I wore the lotion...which was almost scented enough to wear alone.

I also wore the powder...which was kinda sparkly in sunlight.

Ahhhh...'80s memories.

I liked it as a teenager. I also wore #19. I haven't worn any Chanel in years and decided to try it again a few months ago. My tastes have surely changed because I thought the No 5 was the most horrid scent ever and very overpowering, it just wouldn't fade. Maybe it's because they changed it? But I think it's me and I just don't like those types of perfumes anymore.

No, I think this new one is a limited edition according to the website. No way would they ever do away with the original. I think they are probably trying to market this for a more modern demographic. The original is a classic and can never be replaced but I'd like to try this version. The last version before this one is the Eau Premier which I love, I'm hoping I'll like the L'Eau so that I can add it to my collection.
