Re: Carnation Fragrance?

[ Edited ]

aubnwa01, thanks for letting us know. I was hoping you'd find it, I know how frustrating it is. By the way, Amalitsa was about 14.99 (maybe less) for a big bottle if I recall, it was definitely drugstore and not super expensive.

I've never heard of Amalitsa & I'm pretty sure whatever it was had the word Carnation in the name of the scent.

I found a carnation fragrance on Amazon that had good reviews & took a chance & ordered a bottle, which arrived today.  The seller on A is More Perfume & the bottle says Smokey Mountain Perfumery & they're located in TN.  They also have a website that you can order directly from called More Perfume dot com.  I ordered the 2 oz. bottle of the regular strength carnation perfume for $33 w/free shipping.

The carnation scent is pretty spot-on & I think I've satisfied my quest for a carnation scent.  They also included a free sample with my order of a ½ oz. size spray bottle of hyacinth (another favorite flower scent of mine) perfume & it's really nice, too.  It looks like they have a lot of choices of scents on their site, but I can say that the carnation is a winner for me.

L Air du Temp has carnation as the base note.

My mother, and two aunts and a cousin wore this, as did I.  I picked up a bottle not too long ago at Macy's - maybe a year ago - it just didn't smell like I remembered at all.  This memory made me smile though!
