I use and Love the Acure organics Line Eraser. I use this at night and then in the mornings I use the Philosophy Lip and Eye Cream. This gives my under eye area a brightness and smooth's the fine lines. I have been using this for at least 2 years. I am very fortunate at age 57 to only have to deal with a few fine lines under the eyes, of course, that's for the eye area only, LOL! Hope you find what will work for you. I also try to do what I can to age gracefully. I know I can't look like I did when I was 20, and, I don't want to. I just like taking care of myself and looking as good as I can for my age. Good luck on your Journey through ageing!! ![]()

Discoloration if genetic can be improved by Vit K cream. St Ives makes a good one. All you need is the vitamin, it doesn't have to be expensive.
If it's due to fatigue, get more sleep, period. You're shortening your life by skimping on sleep.
If the discoloration goes all around your eyes, it could be your liver, see your doctor.
For wrinkles, Josie Maran's Argan Milk serum is truly amazing. I don't have wrinkles, but the milk really plumps up my skin. That woman has the best products!

I had to do a little research on this b/c I wanted to know if I was missing out on a "great makeup tool" that I have in my bathroom. I read several articles from several different medical websites. Doctors say to avoid using Vaseline or Aquaphor near the eyes (it states that warning right on the label, according the articles). So be careful! It does not toughen up the skin. It heals wounds and protects them, and can heal dry skin. Using it on chapped lips is ok, but not by your eyes. Just saying what I found when I researched it. I don't want anyone to start doing this if it isn't safe.
The articles also stated, as is reiterated many times on these boards, that the best thing to do to fight the signs of aging is stay out of the sun (and tanning beds) and wear sunscreen.
OP, my eye area is my biggest problem. Honestly, besides no longer tanning and wearing sunscreen, the thing that's helped mine better than any eye cream is facial exercises and lymphatic massage in my sinus area. I do both every morning before I get out of bed. Takes about a minute, if that. If you're stuck on using eye creams, I think the one that I noticed nice results was Bright Eye from SkinActives.

Of course, it's not like the doctor is trying to SELL you something. Oh no!!!! LOL

Please let us know. I am ordering the firming, lifting serum and cream, that is supposed to help also.

My dear beauty buddies ~ I just got home from work and am thrilled about all of the helpful feedback that you took the time to leave on this message board since last night. I want to thank each and every one of you and I assure you I will be trying your suggestions (with the exception of the scalpel - sorry wagirl!). I'll keep checking the board and promise to let you all know the results of my personal research study! Hugs!

ITA! The better surgeons and dermatologists will tell you that it really doesn't matter. A good moisturizer, sunscreen and maybe a retinol product is all you need. My derm told me that if it makes me feel better, to go ahead and buy the expensive stuff but it really won't make much difference. Of course many have jumped on the bandwagon, created an added revenue stream and also sell various lines of skincare.

100% Emu oil, and it's cheap. There are many Emu farms in US, buy it direct and it's VERY inexpensive. You won't be disappointed. I am 43 and I've been using it AM and pm, my under eye area is smooth, and the skin is a little bit thicker now, it's amazing. It is hands down the best beauty oil, better than all the other beauty oils. Try it, all you have to lose is about $20.

Sunscreen, and then some more sunscreen. Follow with sunscreen.

I really disagree. Topical things can smooth skin texture, eliminating those rough edges. And the best you can do is to build your collagen layer underneath the surface w/ things: not just topical, but with good diet & healthy lifestyle. Research which topical ingredients helps build the collagen.
