Hi Beauty Board Ladies ~~ I'm wondering if you can give me advice on which mineral powder gives the best coverage...or at least a mineral powder that is buildable?
I have facial hyperhidrosis, and liquid foundations just sweat right off me. I've been using Physician's Formula this summer and notice that it has better staying power. Unfortunately, it doesn't give the best coverage. Is there one that does give better coverage?
Also, do you use one of those sponges after applying your mineral powder, or do you just stick with brushes?
Just FYI...I'm a 67 y.o. natural born redhead (auburn) with very fair, freckled skin with pink undertones. Still color my gray as I'm only about 30% gray. I'm not looking to cover my freckles. They have faded alot over time, but I just want better coverage than Physician's Formula can give. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks so much!

I used Bare Minerals for 25 years until it just looked too dry on my aging skin.
I switched to Pur Minerals and love it. I sometimes swirl Pur in with my IT Celebration foundation as well, the color combination works well for me. I am a light/medium most of the time, a touch of rosecea and now dry skin as well!
I use brushes only. I find Pur Minerals to have great coverage, but have found most minerals to be very buildable. Good Luck!!

My favorite mineral makeup (I've used for years) is Everyday Minerals online. The BEST I've ever found. Great company and great CS. https://www.everydayminerals.com/store/

My favorite, and one that I hope to never be without, is FaerieOrganic minerals. It is so non-irritating and pure. Anything that my skin will tolerate I grab and keep. Also it is the right color -- fair fair porcelain with pink undertones. HTH

I always mix my own ..... I'm a pink undertoned Medium, and finding foundation mineral powders with no yellow isn't always easy! Also, some brands have little or no SPF, and in Southern California, this is not acceptable. I make up little batches that last about 6 to 8 weeks, but can modify them at any time.
I must have a box of about 18 different powders ... some are various skin tones, a few are pink & champagne luminous, and some are darker bronzer shades. I also have a couple of the BE Bisque for better coverage. You can also dab on a bit more Bisque when finished, if you need more coverage.
I mix skin tones differently in the summer than in the winter, as well as mixing in a 25 SPF mineral veil. My only complaint about mineral makeup is that some are very matte, and can look muddy on my skin. Mixing my own, always adding a smidge of luminous powder, creates the perfect finish!

I've heard of this brand but have never seen it in a store. In your opinion, what makes this the "best" one for you?

I diiscovered this wonderful brand after Bare Minerals changed their formula (without notifying customers) and I got a terrible rash. Found Everyday Minerals years ago and love their products. No animal testing (important to me) and wonderful kits, brushes, free samples and their base gives full coverage which I need! Lots of shades so finding the perfect one is easy. I like the Matt base but they offer 2 others.Check out their site....lots of goodies! I love this company!

Thanks, Ladies! I see some of the companies allow you to order samples of their products, so that is nice. I hate getting stuck with a full size product that doesn't do what you expected!
We don't have an Ulta here, but I'll be in a nearby city tomorrow that does, so I'll be able to try out some different brands of products.
I appreciate all your responses.
