@Sweet_Serenity My mom is 68 and uses BM. She’s used it for as long as I can remember. I actually introduced it to her. It’s undetecable and completely natural on her skin. She does have beautiful skin though and no real lines to speak of. The summer bisque you ordered is a heavier formula than the matte and original foundations bc bisque is actually their concealer. They do recommend it for those that need heavy coverage. I’m not sure how this, being heavier, will look. I will say I love summer bisque for myself as a concealer. Havent’ found anything better. My HG! Hope you are happy with your BM!!

@AmericanBulldogMom

Reading the reviews several women including the first reviewer who is 70's uses as a foundation, she raves on it. Definitely familiar using years ago.

Thanks! Helps hearing your Mother's experience, close in age.

I'm 64 and use it.  It's amazing.  The key is not to use very much.  A light dusting is all I need.  I get tons of compliments on my skin, not my makeup.  Doesn't settle into lines and no pores show at all.  It also lasts forever.  I never need touch ups.

I am pushing 70 and I have used Bare Minerals for 20 years.  I use the original foundation  powder year round.......but a different shade for summer since I like a little more color to my face.   I am never thought to be the age I am,  always younger.   I use a taupe eyeshadow,   Rodan & Fields on my eyelashes with Maybelline mascara, and a moist fuschia lipstick.    I never feel like I have any makeup on my skin.  The Bare Minerals never settle into my pores and it is easy to remove.  I am a customer for life!!!!

I’m 70 as well & like using BM original foundation when in a rush or especially on hot days when I don’t want the feel of makeup on my skin.

I find I get the best results when my skin is kept exfoliated...dry patches removed, allow spf/moisturizer to dry completely before the swirl, tap & buff. A very tiny bit goes a long way...you can always add more. I use a cream corrector/concealer and don’t apply BM in that area. I do set the concealer w/ a white, fine setting powder, so the 2 textures blend and look similar.

Since Bisque originated as an eye shadow, I find it too heavy and opaque to use as a concealer or foundation.

@Shanus

Plan using the summer bisque lightly...play with it, and see what works.

Re: BareMinerals Question

[ Edited ]

I am 67 & use a combination of wet (either Complexion Rescue or Maybelline dream fresh B.B. cream) and dry (Laura G balance & brighten or BM original foundation). Moisturize is the key. That is first in the form on whatever wet layer I choose. I recently found a very cool flat top kabuki brush on Amazon (Beauty Junkee brand) that helps me buff the foundation in so that I don’t see yuck. Hoping this trick works in the very dry winter when my skin is much drier. We will see. I really like powder foundation in the hot summer. Works for me.

My mom is 80 and has both Bare Minerals and Balance and Brighten.  They both work for her and me too.  Every brand isn't for everyone, but they work for us.

Sweet Serenity, I'm sorry that the LG products didn't work for you.  I hope that the Summer Bisque will be just what you need.  Everyone's skin is so different from texture and sensitivity as well as how color changes.  I just experimented until I found what worked for me.  I have found that the reviews online have been extremely helpful.  There seems to always be someone who has the same issues and found a solution that helps.
