BareMinerals Question

[ Edited ]

Turning sixty in september. Does anyone my age or older use powder? Remember using summer bisque long ago and liked the results.

Do appreciate any feedback. Thank you.

I"m older than you and I use Bare Minerals, especially in the summer. Logically, it shouldn't work on my older skin, but it does.

At 66 I can use Laura Geller’s Balance and Brighten, I do find better results with It foundation with spf included. I use over a primer from DHC, Velvet Touch, and it works great.

Good luck and happy birthday 🎁🎂🎉🎊!

@IMW

IT oxidizes badly. The powder looks awful on me. Tried using very lightly.

Thank you, For the Birthday wishes. Life is wonderful!

@Sweet_Serenity  Rxstrmom on youtube just did a Get Ready With Me using her old favorite, Bare Minerals.  She just turned 75.  She says the key is buffing it in well.

@Sweet_Serenity... I tried BareMinerals many times only to find it showed every pore on my face. Even in a 10 power mirror I never see my pores but this product was awful. In addition, it has bismuth in it and I think I am sensitive to it. It made me itch and I could not wait to remove it.

I tried it numerous times because I "wanted" to like it with all the great demos from Leslie and Lisa but it never worked for me.

Re: BareMinerals Question

[ Edited ]

I have posted what I use before so I am just copying the information.  I really like the results. I find using the LG Kabuki brush to be the most effectivefor application.   Because I use Complextion Rescue first, I don't really use that much of the powder foundations.  I have very dry, sensitive skin.

"I only use powder foundation and I am 65.  However, I never use any product with luminousity.  I find that to be very aging.  I do prefer the brush that Laura Geller has.  I like Laura Geller's Baked Elements alot.  It comes with the retractable angled kabuki brush.  It seems to give me the ability to use a much lighter hand.  I apply Bare Minerals Complextion Rescue for the sun protection and moisture.  It makes a great base.  I am curruently using Bare Minerals Original foundation.  It was a TSV last Christmas. I use the same steps with the Baked Elements and it works just as well..  If i use a light application, I do not find it settleing in any lines and wrinkles."

@Tuppermore

I tried LG original and baked elements powder at Ulta. Didn't like either.

I ordered A273666 in summer bisque. Funny thing is years ago used this.

Plan using in place of concealer. I'm not one to wear full face makeup.

Demo looks exactly what I'm desiring to achieve. Reviews are good.
