Hiya chickies!

Okay a funny story from last weeks room transformation, hows that sound?

This second bedroom/bead studio transformation is coming along finally into the 'new' walk-in closet/5dressing room. I've figured around the perimeter of this room will be a bakers rack which holds bead projects, a ceiling high set of shelves which holds bead backstock/books/a few 'pretties', one chest of drawers with sweaters in it and 4 hanging clothes racks. Then the desk in the middle of the room to work off of with either packing or laundry folded, project setups and put away type of things.

I think I must of been in the kitchen when Bff started to move the existing desk in there into the center of the room. Of course it was piled high of stuff and then once again I hear this huge YELP and he's screaming my name. I race in and see the desk has collapsed on one side -I saw at first-, so I go to help support that side of the desk and him. This desk is huge first of all {5 feet long/3 feet wide} and one of those pressed wood furnitures Ikea sells, right. So it weighs a ton. Were trying to figure out how to get the panel back under this end of the desk, stuff is sliding off, glass is breaking and I look back and see the OTHER end of this desk has collasped under itself too!!!

Can you image all of this.... { is history repeating or what???}

Eventually we start to figure out the mess we are in, I start laughing my head off and really get him to stop worrying that yet again something of mine is destroyed...aka the AC unit LAST week! Had I been by myself I would of done the same thing in trying to swing the desk around into the center so really he wasn't to blame. However this room was completely trashed from the mayhem. I had to finish it, the organizing and thusly created the space physically & mentally to go forward...both here & there. Yeah it took a bit longer than I suspected. The desk sure wasn't expected but hey now it's done! See further...

On a trip over to storage with my boss to give her stuff for the shop I saw I had another table I'd forgotten about that I could use and another clothes rack to put up in this room. So we went digging out my storage unit to get all this stuff out. Lucky me too that she has a big ole SUV that we could pack all this into and she helped bring up to the flat before she went on her way.

I'm telling ya it's been a zoo. And with no AC out here where the desk & computer are, I've not been here either. Well anyway, I hope you all are well. Summer sure is moving along now isn't it!
