Re: August Daily DermAppeal Challenge!!

It's been 2 wks using DA as mask, leaving it on for abt 15 min.  Skin definitely brighter & pores smaller between my brows & top of nose.  Sides of my nose & the skin beside my nose show not a lot of difference yet in pore size.  The brown spots on my cheeks are a tiny bit lighter.  The last couple of days I have noticed a few tiny red spots on my upper forehead after final rinse.  By morning they are still there but not noticeable.  Don't know what that is.  I'm going to try to not rub that area at all with the DA. I don't have sensitive skin.  So far I'm pleased & will keep it up unless the red spots increase.

I think I’ve been using DermAppeal as a mask since last Sunday - 6 days. Pores are smaller, skin feels so smooth & soft, skincare and makeup goes on so much better. No polling of my SPF or primer even when I don’t wait as long as usual between products.

I almost skipped foundation today. I am using much less of it.

Re: August Daily DermAppeal Challenge!!

I have done this every night for the past seven nights and I will continue thru Friday night but starting this weekend I will be taking a break on Saturday and Sunday nights for the rest of the month. My face is looking better including my nose and nasal areas.

This is somewhat off topic. I get a small breakout from time-to-time. I regularly wear Readers and Sunglasses. Sometimes I will wake up with about three to four very small bumps on the area where the frame rests on my face. Now that I'm thinking about it, it generally only happens on the right side. These little bumps are right beneath the surface of the skin. They seldom last for more than two days and they never get any larger. I wash my glasses with hot water at the end of the day and then use a soft cloth to dry. Anyone have suggestions or an idea of what I can do to alleviate this? TIA.

Re: August Daily DermAppeal Challenge!!

Here is my ONE WEEK update:

So, I did my usual peel (similar to one of his ABC peels) on Sunday; I always do a strong peel on Sundays (Tina said she did as well). What I've noticed is my skin glows much more than it did, it's very smooth, it DOES feel firmer, I'm using less foundation, product goes on better as well.

I have my theory as to why but I'm not going to say anything till the end of the month, lol.

Issue: my nose peels a bit (like when you get a sunburn and the skin starts peeling) and I don't like that. Past two nights, I haven't applied the product to that small area; peeling has stopped.

Amount used: I'm not using the jar but a opened a sealed tube from last years' kit (4 oz tube) of DermAppeal. I'm applying a blob as a mask to my face and just belong the jar area that is the size of a walnut. I am not doing my neck or chest as it's too much for that area (chest and base of neck ALWAYS react so I have to be careful there). At this rate, I will have used up the tube by the end of the month (based on what it looks like after 1 week). Time is 10-15 minutes; beyond that, it becomes uncomfortable on my face (due to menthol, perhaps).

Overall, Thumbs up!!

@Mothertrucker    Does it burn your eyes when you rinse it off? It always burns my eyes.

Re: August Daily DermAppeal Challenge!!

3 week update - daily use of DA leaving it on abt 15 min.

Same brightness & smoothness & pore size continues to improve.  I see a difference now on the sides of my nose that I didn't before.  My foundation goes on better & looks better..  This week I can't see any more change in the brown spot on my cheek - hope it gets better with more time.  I haven't had any more red spots on my forehead & my skin is not showing any signs of dryness.  I've been doing the same treatment on back of my hands and  lower forearms & they are smoother &brighter.  It may start to look strange to have part of the arm look so much better.  I don't use a thick layer of DA for face or hands, just a thin layer with a little more over my brown spot.  I'm certainly not a WOW yet but am pleased with the results so far.
