That face mask sounds delicious! I'd add some granola and berries to the leftovers that didn't get put on my face.  I do my facials at home with drugstore face mask products.  This recipe could be a nice new mask to add to my routine. Enjoy your milk, yogurt and honey facial, @Puppy Galore 🙂

All I'm missing is the granola and blueberries.

@Puppy Galore  You could stock up on the blueberries and granola for your next facial 🙂.  Glowing skin and a delicious parfait! This mask does it all

@Puppy Galore - have you considered using hyaluronic acid for skin hydration?  I take it as a supplement and apply it topically as well.

Snail mucin sounds gross but it's good too. It's a topical.

I love my salon facials.  My skin has never looked better since getting them.

I would start by using a more gentle cleanser. No hot or very warm water while cleansing and and that includes the hot water while showering. Using hot or very warm water is one of the main causes of dry skin problems and damaged skin barrier. Also avoid using microfiber facial cloths. Those remove too much of the skin's natural oil and can make it even drier. Use microfiber cloths only occasionally. To help get your skin back to a more healthy state, use some kind of barrier cream for a few days if not longer. Depending on your age it can take a week to over a month to regain hydration and normal skin barrier function. The older you are the longer that will take.

@Pecky - Me too. I also get a full body massage after the facial, then take the rest of the day off to relax. I used to go monthly, but now I go quarterly. I enjoy seeing and experiencing the new products they use.

Also do weekly at home mini facials using a similar spa process. A couple times monthly I use a personal facial steamer to help with the exfoliation. One of my favorite tools is the Dermaflash that I use gently after steaming to clean the pores. Then several masks followed by serums, facial oil and moisturizer.

@Puppy Galore  sounds good to me. As good as almost anything you can buy. Honey is great for the face. I know it even helps with acne. But the yogurt and milk should break down skin a bit to soften and with the sugar in honey act like any fruit acid.  I have done plain honey facial masks to tighten and refresh skin.  Jmho

@shoekitty

Thank you.

Today my skin isn't dry or flaky.

I didn't put the mask on thick enough and it took awhile to get it off after drying.

I use cotton wash cloths and pat to get it off.
I always use water that is close to the temp of my face, not to warm or cold, I don't want to shock my face, lol.

@Calibeach I go every 8 weeks.  My esthetician also massages my neck and arms.  It is heaven! I also do my own little facials.
