I don't know????

Read the label. If it's 100% argan oil and no other ingredients, it will be similar. I see a lot of cheap products labeled as 100% pure, but they add a lot of other ingredients to the "pure" oil, making it not 100% pure and not the same. You need to read the entire ingredients list to be sure. Does it also say that it's the first cold press? That also makes a difference in quality.

If you want argan oil without the price tag, try Garden of Wisdom or other online sources.

I just looked up the product. It doesn't say organic or first cold-pressed, so I don't think it will be exactly the same. Maybe I'm wrong, but I checked the website and product description. ??

While it may be 100% pure, it more than likely is not 1st cold pressed. After the 1st cold press, I think maybe most after that are warm extractions to get the rest of the oil out which changes things.

Their Facebook says cold pressed. Not a hair product, I saw it too and thought why not try it? Nothing in it but argan oil.

Thx for posting that link!

The Argan Magic the OP is talking about at TJ's, is the one I buy - $9.99 for 2 oz. It is 100% Argania Spinosa (argan) kernel oil. Brown bottle w/ pump sold in a teal green box. I checked out their website (Jocott.com) it's $20.00 there. They also have Argan hair products! I'll have to look for them the next time I go to TJ's! {#emotions_dlg.biggrin}

About 2 weeks ago, I did a comparison between Marula oil and boy, was there a difference. Both were cold pressed, however, one was not greasy and absorbed quickly and had no scent. And the price difference was actually not that great -- maybe $3 or $4 but I actually paid less for the new one because it was on sale. Anyone using Marula oil - Acure Organics has a great one.

Back to the topic, I prefer to buy argan oil that is labeled as "fair trade," as well as being unrefined and cold-pressed. That way I know that the indigenous people are getting their fair share.

Shea Terra Organics is the one I use, and I think it's top-notch.
