EVERY SINGLE YTer I've seen uses one hand to apply to both eyes/cheeks, etc.  I don't understand this.  Could it have something to do with camera angles?  Do you use your dominant hand to apply to the opposite side or do  you use both?  I use both hands (left hand for left side, right hand for right side).  It seems if I tried to apply/blend eyeshadow on my left eye, the process would look lop-sided since the angle I hold the brush wouldn't be the same as on the right side, right?  I don't think I could get everything symmetrical.  I KNOW I couldn't.  This has been a burning question for months!

@monicakm well, hmmm.  I've never given this much thought, however, now that you're brought it up, I'm going to pay more attention to what I do next time I put my make up on.

I use one hand to apply makeup. All my products are applied with brushes, so it is very much an artistic endeavor. Each brush is specific to its task. This requires precision so I can only use my dominant hand.

Well, I'm not ambidextrous but maybe I am when it comes to makeup application??

One hand.  The angle is different. It is easier for me to apply liner to my left eye with my right hand than to my right eye, but I can't imagine being able to precisely draw a line using my left hand.

I use one hand only. My other hand barely works.

It's been decades since I've worn eyeliner.  When I did wear it, I used both hands.  Use both hands for mascara and false lashes too.   My eyes have become too hooded and I don't want to waste valuable lid real-estate on liner.  I do tightline tho.

One hand, my dominant hand, to brush a little shadow on both lids, liner using the darkest eye shadow shade, and mascara. I can't imagine trying to use both hands.

I use my dominant hand to be more accurate.
