Re: Anyone subscribe to Birchbox?

My sister got me a 3 month subscription for Christmas and it was a really fun, unique gift. I didn't subscribe because I didn't love enough of the products to continue. In my last box I got a Beauty Blender sponge (woo!), but since I already have one and a spare I gave it to my sister. She was happy. Smile

Re: Anyone subscribe to Birchbox?

It was a fun thing to get in the mail, but most of the products were misses for me, so it wasn't a good value. When my credit card expired, I didn't renew my subscription.

Most of the items were giveaways for me so I discontinued the subscription.

I get it and for the most part I like it. It all adds up quickly and I have to get thru alot of samples.

I didn't really like it either. I ended up giving away most of the samples.

I am already such a beauty junkie, I don't need to be tempted to buy any new products.

I am a VIB with sephora and do better with their promos and free samples.

I think it would be a fun gift for a younger woman who wants to experiment with new prestige products.

Re: Anyone subscribe to Birchbox?

I had it for a while but it didn't suit me it was mostly skin care high end skin care but still wasn't for me & mostly they were foil pack samples because of the HIGH end brands I switched to ipsy that one is more makeup based but even that one I cancel for a while & sign back up off & on. It all depends on what you're looking for if you want the cancebto try high end skin care & life style stuff bitchbox is your best bet but if your a make up freak like me I would give ipsy a try HTH

Re: Anyone subscribe to Birchbox?

I had a sub for awhile and had some really good boxes and some meh boxes. For only $10, I thought it was worth it for the most part. I just recently received a gift sub from a friend for my birthday and have gotten some excellent products, like a full sized Mally eye amplifying shadow/liner which is a $20 value in and of itself. This month I will be getting a Jane Iredale just kissed lip gloss deluxe sample which I've been wanting to try.I've tweaked my profile to the point were I am maximizing makeup while limiting hair and skincare.

I also like how you get 10 pts for every item you review and 100 pts=$10 off items in their store and they constantly send out coupon codes. I currently have a code for 25% off and have $20 in points. I also joined a group that swaps samples we don't want and have gotten some really good swaps.

So yeah, there are some things I don't use but overall I think it is fun and I've found some stuff I love.
