Any recommendation for a temporary, wrinkle freezing effect?

Years ago I remember Serious Skin Care on HSN sold a product called Instatox that was supposed to temporarily freeze your wrinkles for a few hours. I looked up the reviews and they are not that great. Does anything on the Q or anywhere else that you've tried do this effectively that's worth giving a try? I thought Dr. Denese had something like that, but I didn't come across anything like it. TIA, Gloria

Peter Thomas Roth has the same product. I tried his because I understand they also help smooth out pores, I don't have wrinkles, and the end result was that it gave me wrinkles that weren't already there! I think those products tighten by drying so if your skin is already dry forget about it

They are all pretty much the same and I honestly believe it all depends on your skin. I have Instatox currently but I've used Genie sold here. I have tried the PTR brand one. The worst is the one found at the DS for about 5.00, sorry can't remember the name. SSC has a Firma Face XR also. If my eyes are puffy I may dab a little under my eyes and I used to use it on my forehead but I currently don't need it. I also tried it on my neck and that wasn't great because it made the line down the middle even worse. I also have Benefit Ooh La Lift for under my eyes and that works very well if I am puffy. I sleep on my left side and I get a puffy eye and cheek near my mouth I have been using ASDM eye serum and lifting serum and that takes some of the puff out of my cheek and under eye.

I've been using PTR's Instant Firm X around my eyes for about a month. There is a serious learning curve with it, but it started to really click for me when I switched to Laura Geller's baked makeup. Laura's MU goes over Firm X like butter and the look lasts from morning until late at night when I remove it. I swear it takes about 10 years off my face!

I've used SKINN's Under-Eye Decrinkler, which was ineffective (imo). This was one of the few products from the line that I've been unhappy with, however. Most everything else in SKINN is wonderful, just not this product.

It isn't a "freeze" type of product, but I am liking Olay Regenerist Filling and Sealing Wrinkle Treatment which comes in a tube. It works very well on the fine lines around my eyes. It fills them completely and diffuses my under eye area. I sometimes use it on my nose to mouth lines which are deeper. It softens them some, but it doesn't fill them completely.

Re: Any recommendation for a temporary, wrinkle freezing effect?

I do agree that many of these products can be a challenge for those with dry skin. And using powder type foundations or the like seem to be a better choice for applying on top of them, rather than liquid based products. Powder finishes don't seem to disturb the lifting or freezing effect nearly as much as liquids do.

While the reviews might not be that overwhelming on HSN for Instatox, it is their top selling auto delivery product, above everything else they sell, and that's a pretty impressive distinction. So reviews aren't always indicative of a product's popularity. Likely due to that old saying - if someone likes something, they may tell just a few people while conversely, if they dislike something, they often tell 2 to 3 times the amount of people. Many seem more prevalent to post a negative review than they are to post a positive one. Sadly, that just seems to be human nature~

I do agree that these freezing type serums work quite effectively on puffiness in the eye area. I often keep one around just to have on hand for those really bad "puffy" days {#emotions_dlg.sad}

Thanks - that's good to know about that product. Thanks for mentioning it.

I don't have a freeze type product rec. But I do know that caffeine can have a tightening effect on skin. I really don't have wrinkles, but I've been using a tea solution to spritz in with my a.m. moisturizer, actually for antioxy protection, but wow, my skin is firm and glowing, and I'm wondering if it's that little bit of caffeine effect.
