If you're concerned about animal testing, Paula's Choice has a report card. Lots of great lines sold here on the Q don't, which is good to know. Unfortunately, some other great lines sold here do!

I'm loyal to one line for hair, skin and makeup and they do not test on animals.

This is kind of a good start.
However, for "purists" like myself, lol, that are trying not to line the pockets of parent corporations who DO test, then please don't rely solely on this list. Many of the brands on her list, unfortunately, are owned by these types of parent companies.

Too true. I just learned a wonderful local vitamin/supplement/health store mini-chain sold to a large corporation. The always say they're not going to change anything, but they don't care about my health, my skin care, the well being of my pet (in the case of pet foods, obviously) -- they only care about showing a profit to the shareholders. :-(

I was worried because PTR is on the bad list. I looked at every product I have from him, over 10. ALL say Animal Cruelty Free !! So that list isn't right, or not up to date. Misleading to me, although I am sure some should be on the bad list unfortunately.

Hi HappyDaze - is there a reliable list you use to determine the truly cruelty free companies? I agree completely about not lining the pockets of the big parent companies.
Some of the brands I used to use (like Urban Decay) used to be cruelty-free, but I won't use them anymore. It is really frustrating.

Guess I'd rather a mouse or rat be used for safety testing than me or my children. Just sayin'.

I believe this would not be on the label if not true, plus his products are made in the USA. The only product that does not have this on the label is the tin for the 40 per cent peel.I was worried because PTR is on the bad list. I looked at every product I have from him, over 10.
