Question for the experts

They all seem to contain 350 mg, some say to take 1 per day, others say 2 per day, what do you think??

did you buy the NUSA brand?

I'm no expert but I have noticed that some of them contain less than 350mg per cap. Also noticed differences in dose size, but generally 350mg per day seems to be a common dose across the board with the exception of only a few. From what I have come across in the literature on the internet, studies of the effects of phytoceramides on the skin were done on 200 to 350 mg doses per day. I figure that's why many of them contain 350mg. But for the NUSA brand, a 700mg (2 caps) a day is recommended for theirs. I have no logical explanation for that, only that it might be to make you take more and buy more. @Shelbelle

Maybe start with 2, and if and when results are positive, then you can lower it to one per day as a way of maintaining, that sounds logical to me. I also found the Nusapure on ebay, I prefer ordering from there since I dont have Prime.  Thanks, ladies!!

I like the idea that there is gelatin in the cap, very good for the nails.

BTW, I have been taking Verisol collagen tablets from Puritins Pride for over 2 months now, no visible results that I can tell. I have a couple more bottles left, will use them up, but probably not reorder.

@SilleeMee if thats why nusapure says  to take 2 a day thats just unethical to me..Think i will do 2 a day to start and after 1 week drop down to 1 a day....Emailed the company with a question and no response and i guess they dont have a ph number to call which i dont like at all....I think all companies need a cs ph line..

I also just wrote to Nusapure, it says they are available 24/7 for emails, lets see if I get a response.

Re: Andrew Lessman Beauty T.S.

Most of our supplements are from Andrew Lessman.  It is important to me to not have alot of fillers, etc. in my supplements and I trust this brand.  I had purchased the Phytoceremides awhile back, but didn't start taking them right away.  When I started taking them, for 3 or 4 weeks, most days I took 2 a day, then about a week ago, dropped down to one a day.  I suddenly realized in the last couple of days, the crepeiness I had on part of my arms is GONE!  Yes, I do use cream, which I believe helps, HOWEVER the cream alone did not correct it.  It must be the supplement.

Totally agree. Ceramide supplements are the best body moisturizers ever. Even behind my ears and between my toes are softer now. And the basic tone looks better. I love it.

He doesn’t distinguish between rice and wheat - I looked through a couple of his HSN YouTube videos on the phytoceramides and it never came up. I use several of his products and will continue to do so. It was just surprising to me that he doesn’t use rice derived - he is so into the science of his products. I think he’s a great guy who really cares.

Re: Andrew Lessman Beauty T.S.

I did receive an answer from Nusapure, the rep said that their chemist believes 2 are needed daily for optimum results, but of course of you want to take one you certainly can. i wouild start with 2, then taper off for maintenance, but first I would have to see real results. .

Another brand with good Amazon reviews is We Like Vitamins, same ingredients as Nusapure, onlyu $21 for 200, says to take one per day.  Also sold on ebay.
