Re: An odd request re make up reviews:

I agree with gabstoomuch in that age of skin makes a huge difference, both for skin care and makeup.

It was suggested years ago to include your particulars in your tag line that you can set up in your Preferences. (I haven't done that...)

When I offer a suggestion, I will often mention my age. (Doesn't matter in this post. I am 61, vibrant in health, not overweight.)

Equally important to me is how overall healthy an individual is. If you are healthy, then that shows in your skin, too. But I never know if someone has smoked, if they exercise, if they eat healthy...you are really guessing a lot of times when offering an idea or suggestions!

At best, the most we ever know is if someone has sensitive skin or not.

I read Sephora""reviews a lot and the knowing the age of a reviewer help a lot. I am 66 and still love cosmetics and stylish fashion.

Re: An odd request re make up reviews:

I like to know skin type as well as age. I just think it makes it easier to decide because some women in their 60's have dry skin and some have oily skin and some have combo skin.

Oh, haha, sorry. You are right. I was thinking of when I give a review or comment on a product.

I have no problem with my age. I am 60. Not sure why I am getting snarly comments.

Why is giving an age or AGE RANGE a bad request or thought?

I tried this a long time ago and got snarky replies as well like I was a stalker. I think putting skin type should not be a problem if you don't want to put your age. As you can see, I have no problem.

Harpa I think that was me and I got reamed but as you can see I have always had it in my tag line.

I am nice Smile. Have been here many, many years. This is the first time I got snarky comments. It is just an idea to help all of us since we have to get used to the new shipping.

I think they were just trying to do something regarding shipping to stop all the high shipping complaints. But they had to take something away to make it work for them. We were pretty spoiled (I believe) that they even refunded original shipping.

I have no problem whatsoever announcing my age. I don't understand people that do, but everyone has their own opinion.

On another topic, I just glanced over at my name and saw 2004, and only 538 posts? Did something reset? I have been here since the early '90's, on the very first board! Does anyone remember the very first Q board?

gabstoomuch: I read on another thread that others have experienced issues with their # of posts "resetting" or...getting messed up! (btw...LOVE your online name! Smile)
