I am an over 20 year subscriber to the magazine. I always subscribed 2 years at a time because I got a very good deal. About 6 months into my 2 year subscription I was regretting my decision. For me the magazine has taken a real nosedive. Every issue has a theme that is throughout the issue. I don't care for this at all, I actually skim the magazine without reading most of it. I have 4 issues left, needless to say I won't be renewing my subscription.

I feel the same!  I had been a sunscriber since day 1.  My subscription recently ended and I have no regrets.   They should never have gotten rid of the former Editor in Chief.

About 5 years ago I started getting FREE magazines - hadn't subscribed to a mag in decades.  Out of the blue Martha Stewart arrived for TWO years at least.  Neighbor lady saw it in my arms after getting mail - screamed oh, MS - - my daughter loves her.  So I just handed her the issue every month without opening.  Then Allure started coming for a year or more.    Hard copy mags don't sell any more- so (I guess) they have to have a number of issues to stay in print - so they give them away.  Allure = boring = all commercial makeup = me not interested = trashed it upon receipt.

@Jordan2

Same here!  I don't care much for it any more either.  Actually, I am thinking I might also ditch Marie Clare and Glamour.  I would like to have at least one sort of "fashion" mag, but really, I am not seeing much of anything in these mags. that seem relative to me or even interesting --- at all.

@ASLTW  ITA.  I was also subscriber from the start; it was my favorite magazine.  After Linda Wells left it went downhill.  I no longer read it.

I was a long time subscriber when Linda Wells was at the helm. Loved her comments. I continued to be a subscriber , but when the new gal took over , a complete change. Foul language and a different format. Dropped my subscription. Sometimes change is not so good.

@Jordan2 and others: I totally agree. When I was a working makeup artist, this publication was #1 of my go tos for ideas, looks and new products. Now it seems to feature 1 or 2 models per issue, their mu stories, a lot (too many) of stories on dating, clothing, style, politics(?!?!?) and articles not related to mu at all. Their mu awards for the year are a joke...most likely paid off to be included...so doesn’t hold water with me. I have 4 issues left and then done!

I too was a long time subsciber, and couldn't wait to receive my issue for the month, always signed up for all of the freebies as well. It started going downhill for me after Linda Wells left, and I stopped subscribing.

Sometimes change is not always the answer! I also stopped getting InStyle as well-it was just full of celebrities and their clothes and makeup.....I no longer receive any magazines, and I kind of miss that, but can't think of any worth subscribing to.

I’m loving Pinterest....hair styles, makeup, articles on celebrities, recipes, tutorials & videos, etc. Why purchase a magazine?

@ASLTW  I really can’t blame it all on changes after Linda Wells. I find I have outgrown many magazines...or rather they chose not to address my age group...we did not exist, which is nothing new.
