KatCat1--I did go on PB's website and found the duvet that you got, love it! I also like the color you picked! I will be considering it for my duvet for sure! I want to paint the room an ice blue color, I have sheets the color I want to paint the room and I'm not sure if I want to go with a white duvet or a cocoa color like the one you got. Decisions, decisions! I may wait until I paint the room to decide, I can just use something temporary on the bed until I decide. I got the sheets, mattress pad and protector, pillows and a blanket. Going from a queen to a king mattress is such an investment. The mattress is going to be delivered tomorrow.

Hi Hayfield, I bought my duvet two years ago so the color is no longer available but I know the color you are talking about. You may get more use out of a white or off white duvet then you can get some throw pillows in light blues & taupe & either the white or off white color. I love this duvet because it never looks wrinkled maybe on the other side it does but not the side that everyone sees and that is half the battle with duvets to keep them looking good. You will not be sorry if you purchase it. I also use a white straight dust ruffle. The ice blue color sounds really pretty for the room. I buy everything on sale. Just bought another lamp for my bedroom on sale from PB. It's a ceramic lamp and it came in ivory, light blue & gray. I bought the ivory and it fits perfect in my bedroom with the contemporary crystal base lamp I have in the room. Let me know what you decide. Have a nice evening, Hayfield.

Hi Ladies,

RetRN & fancy, I have had white dishes for a while and decided to have some fun with this set using different colors. Now I have to cook and invite some friends over to show them off! ha! I use to love to entertain but not so much anymore due to different ailments.

Heat wave today == low 30's. It really felt good compare to all the cold weather we have been experiencing. I am been enjoying the try outs for American Idol last week and this week. Not sure how long they continue but it's fun to watch.

For Johnny Depp lovers, he has a comedy coming out on Jan. 23 in the Chicagoland area but not sure if it's everywhere. It looks hysterical. Mortaicai (sp?) or something like that is the name. I can't wait to see it.

Helen, You always find the neatest pictures to post. There is nothing like seeing it snow at night when almost everyone is sleeping.

It's hard to believe it's almost Friday. Seems like the weeks just fly by. Have a nice evening.

HAPPY NEW YEAR TO EVERYONE------thank you so very, very, very for your shout-outs and good wishes. I honestly believe (and I don't think that SHORELADY would disagree) that the support of people on this BB , who have reached out to me, has had a positive impact on my upward climb. And it has been upward (for the most part). After being pampered and babied by my parents for many weeks, I am now trying to start being an adult again. My first step was by eating Chinese food for a week since I had no one to cook for me......LOL ! I cannot speak for you guys but I am sick of winter and we haven't even had one. It is just so cold all the time that I want to stay under my down quilt 24/7. I've not read all the previous posts but I did read that Spammom is going home.....you courageous , inspiring woman. You are going to be so fine. Helen, Mocha and everyone else......I hope you are okay. Mocha---the prayer before I "left" was beautiful and very appreciated. The pix of the baby early on this thread was the cutest ever. I'll be back after I catch up with the reading.

Hi everyone. Still dealing with my parent's estate. The accountant is charging us $3000 a month and is doing nothing. This is so upsetting and have an upset stomach from it. Tomorrow should be better. Sorry to sound down. Any suggestions? Live, anne

Danky......Couldn't agree more. The posters here and on the other thread have been a great support system. Knowing you can come to this message board and vent/complain or occasionally just sit on the pity pot makes the trying times a bit easier. No one judges, just understands with always a kind word.

Kitty......Since my DH's passing 7 months ago, I am still trying to undo the problems created by a less than knowledgeable attorney (trying to be nice when there are other more unladylike descriptions more appropriate to describe this attorney), but things are much better and soon this situation will be resolved. Since every state's rules and regulations are different, it is difficult to give advice. One thing I can say is to be sure you have a good attorney, one that specializes in wills, trust, probates, etc. I have only contacted our accountant twice. I will need his services in the future. Otherwise our attorney is handling everything concerning this difficult matter. The fee being charged does seem exhorbitant. Good luck.

good morning ladies ...

hoping that this morning finds you in a good place. i am up a little earlier than normal because on fridays, my days are pretty full, and i like to have a little quiet time and some extra coffee before i start my day!

earlier this week, i went to the movies with my dd. we had so much been looking forward to seeing "into the woods" ... and while it was good, it was a little disappointing. at the end of the movie, i said to dd that i thought it seemed like it would make a better broadway show... lol ... then she told me that it originally WAS a broadway show.

i am going to wish you all a beautiful today, and i send along healing hugs to anyone in need ... this is such a uniquely warm little corner of the world and i do appreciate you ladies! it's so nice to have this special place to look forward to every day, and i love getting to know you all better and hearing all about your ups and downs.

KITTY, my Mother passed away a couple years ago. We still have not finalized her estate. She had property in Texas and unfortunately she had not put it in her Trust. It's complicated, and Texas laws are very strict. I think we're near to closing it all; we just sold the property. I'm so sorry you're dealing with this; I don't know what I'd do without the help of my siblings. Good luck.....

You're so lucky to still have your parents to lean on; everything's better when they're near. I'm also looking forward to Spring, even though it's not nearly as cold out here. SHORELADY, I'm so glad to hear you're getting closer to getting all your legal problems dealt with. Of course, we all know you've gone through so much more than you ever should have. I spent about two hours in the Apple Store yesterday. The good news is I didn't need a new IPad; the bad is they had to completely wipe it out and put it to its original condition. Like when it was new. Luckily, I had backed it up. Still, I've had to re-enter passwords, etc. hopefully, no more problems. I better close, though, I've written more than I thought I would.
