Good Morning!

@Hayfield , sounds like you have some fun things planned the next few days. So nice you still get together and keep in touch with your old friends where you lived. Our. DGD leaves on Friday. She's been keeping busy with friends from high school that are home too, so not sure we'll get together...we'll see. 

@MariotaMurielle ,  we've had good luck, too, calling, complaining about high costs and threatening to cancel subscriptions. Usually, they'll offer something cheaper/better at least to start. Thankfully, my door wreath still looks good!

@JustJazzmom , I think you're right about the fruitcake..I checked it out. I don't remember the name Collin Street Bakery though..

@Dazlin , 6 yrs old is such a cute age. I'm sure your DGS loves staying with you and being spoiled with all his favorite food/treats and fun things planned.  Enjoy!

Its very windy here today...we'll be in the 70's. Our son is coming by, and we're going to lunch at a favorite Italian place nearby.  I'll be starting our 2026 thread late tomorrow or Thursday...I'll let everyone know when I do.

@SleeplessinSD  There's another Texas bakery that sells fruitcake -- Eilenberger Bakery.

It started out sunny & in the mid 20's but now in the PM it's cloudy with occasional gusty winds. 

I took 3 watches over for battery replacements to local jewelry store. They will be ready tomorrow. One is the watch I always wear. The store then closes for 5 days. 

Hanging out today. Will be doing the salmon for dinner tonight in the skillet with the pastina pasta subbing for the usual orzo. 

I just dumped in our trash chute 4 containers in a small grocery bag. I find I use up many things at once. This at least keeps my kitchen garbage bin clear of large things.

Hi Everyone!

Went to the gym this morning.  Now home and about to start on doing a few things around the house.  We are expecting lots of rain starting early tomorrow morning through Friday so may go to the grocery store for a couple of things later today.  Other than that, not much going on here.

HAPPY NEW YEARS EVE TO ALL!!

It got cold here, 30's this morning...but bright and a warm sun.

 Busy playing with grandson,  had to play football twice already. 

Waiting for hubby to get home so he can take over.

Will be a quiet night, just the 3 of us....we dont do anything for news years....

Welllll, I should say, somewhat quiet??...  Grandson...non stop.

Thankfully he goes to bed early,  WHEW....Im already wiped out.

You all should see my living room ....a trashed toy factory. 

I can put up with it for a few days....hes happy!

Happy NYE!

I made some chip dip this morning for later. The chips were on sale in a local market. Purchased some cheese cubes too. 

I picked up my 3 watches that got new batteries. The jewelry store is closing for a week. Glad I got them back in 24 hours. 

Staying indoors, it's supposed to get down to the mid 20's tonight. Not exactly weather to enjoy fireworks over the harbor.

Happy New Years Eve!  Just got home from a wonderful New Year's Eve lunch with DD, her boyfriend, and his little girl.  We all had such a good time and the food was delicious.  We've decided to make it a tradition.  Its cold and rainy here.  Glad I am in for the day.  Probably won't be able to stay awake until midnight my time but will celebrate at 9:00pm with all of you on the East Coast.  LOL
